An intimate venue that offers all the amenities of larger venues (including the $9.00 drinks) but without the claustrophobic-crowded-cattle herding experience.
Went to an Usher concert. It would be nice to have some signs to indicate where to go! I would not go back! When you go to the Pepsi center there is no doubt how to get to the parking and there is no doubt how to get out. It was very frustrating to get lost when there a bunch of police officers standing around! How silly is it to have a venue in the middle of a bunch of apartment complexes.
I have seen several concerts here, as well as a Cirque du Soleil show. I just don't like the acoustics. It always seems like no matter where you sit, the sound is a little "off".
This is a decent mid-size arena and the acoustics aren't half bad. The venue is clean with several convenient entries and exits. WSMFP!!!
The arena was very nice, but we were seated on regular fold out metal chairs. Not really what I expected since I paid $130 for my ticket. Very uncomfortable! The bathrooms were nice and clean. The bar prices were outrageous! Even a bottle of water was $4 and they don't let you take the cap with you. So, many people were spilling their bottled water on the floor. Handicapped parking was convenient once we finally found it, since it was not clearly marked. The drive through the residential area was awkward and slow. The sound in the arena was good.
The parking garage is nearby - not connected, but across the street. There is always room. The venue itself is not so huge that you need binoculars! We have seen Carrie Underwood, a Cirque du Soleil show and several others things there and do not feel like we are lost in the crowd.
Love the suites at this place!! It sells the whole experience for me, will never go back to regular seating at this venue. It's not so fun navigating the lot as it's not a simple driveway, taking the bus is the best way as the bus stop is out front, closer to the doors and way less hassle.
Been here for several shows, some where I had tickets on the floor and some where I was in a suite. It's very clean and has a cool atmosphere. The seats are very comfortable and the suites adequately stocked. I typically prefer smaller venues when listening to music, like the Ogden or Bluebird, but I really like the 1stBank Center. I'll definitely be back.
I'm not a fan of this venue in general simple because of the location. The drive can be a struggle and I have gotten lost both going and leaving. The signs aren't too helpful when it comes to taking the right road to and from. As for the venue itself, it's a pretty average indoor arena. It is definitely smaller than the Pepsi Center and you pretty much have good seats no matter where you are. I had second row seats about two sections from stage left for Nine Inch Nails and they were fantastic. I could see everything perfectly and was very close to the stage. I wish a lot of major name acts would stop booking here, though. The tickets sell out faster and it isn't an easy place to get to. There aren't a lot of surrounding things to do either. I think the only thing open when I got there was a TCBY about a block away. It's mostly apartments in the immediate area.
Your basic indoor arena that has concerts. Hard concrete floor, expensive box seats, reserved seats are far from the stage. Given that it's an arena, it's pretty good. But, still ... you're going to an arena ...
There are a lot of large concert venues in the Denver/Boulder area. This one is intimate and a very nice place to enjoy music or whatever event is being held. It beats the big arenas in town.
I have seen Tom Petty and Paul Simon perform here and was impressed at each show. The sound is quality in most areas and the venue is nice. Located right off of highway 36. Have been to a show in GA floor as well as a show in assigned seats. Both sounded great. Would prefer this venue to Pepsi Center, Mile High and Fiddlers Green. If your in Colorado for a show though, the first choice is ALWAYS Red Rocks.
I like the smaller venue. Parking is HORRIBLE...should have been closer to the actual arena and more parking spaces available!!! In the colder and wetter days, an underground tunnel would have been awesome or at least, a covered walkway. During snow season the walks are slippery and not taken care of right away...very dangerous. This place has limited roads for leaving and causes a real backup when events end. When this center first opened, I sent an evaluation card with about a dozen possible small improvements, but never heard back from anyone. Some were initiated. This is just an okay center. Easy access from US36.
We have been to several concerts/performances at the 1stBank Center. The most recent was in March 2013. I will say that the acoustics are much better than they were when the venue first opened. The remodel/retrofitting they did a few years ago with a change of ownership has definitely helped. However, the seats are really tight (mostly lacking legroom but also in width). Maybe we're just getting wider...
I have been to several events at the 1stBank Center, both were a lot of fun, but my biggest complaint is the design of the arena makes for bad audio in certain sections. I went to a Cirque du soliel presentation, and we sat just of center, to the right, and the bass took over the entire show. We saw the same show in Loveland the next week, and it was awesome. I was on the floor for that show, but it was like night and day.
