I have seen very many shows at the CRT (Creede Repertory Theater) and every one was beyond great. It is amazing that our little town has such a well thought of Theater. After the show you get to meet and thank all the actors and that is very nice!!
Have been to performances here several times in the last few years. Whenever we travel near this area we order tickets and have seen some marvelous presentations. These are talented and highly proffesional actors and behind the scenes workers. What great sets they put together. Enjoy meeting the actors and others.
Don't miss the Creede Repertory Theatre! A wide variety of excellent plays for all tastes and ages. They only have one thing in common, excellence. We saw 5 very different plays from a reading of the engaging "I Love Saint Lucy" to an children's improvisation called "Pants on Fire" to a French farce, "The Liar" followed by "Hope & Gravity" and Boomtown. I had never gone to so many plays in such a short period of time but I can truly say each one was a real treat. And, I didn't fall asleep once! What is more, the price is very reasonable for this level or Theatre. I can't wait to go back next year.
Don't wait too long to get your tickets! We got our tickets a few months prior to the date. We totally enjoyed the cast! They were professional and had a wonderful sense of humor. We saw 'The Liar'. We spoke with others who saw another play that weekend and they too enjoyed the show! The casts go outside of Creed at various times of the year to perform the same plays. It is just fun to go to this small mountain town to enjoy a play. The town is surrounded by incredible mountains! We had been told about the town and their theater and we were not disappointed,
After staing in The Creede Hotel, enjoying fabulous meal we walked next door to the threatre which made our night in Creede. The actors were truly professional and their performances were thoroughly entertaining.
Loved the theater in this small town. Having heard good things about the theater, we planned a trip so that we could stop in Creede for one show, "The Liar." We so enjoyed the show that we stayed an extra day to see another show, "Mildred." Having lived in Colorado for many years this was the first visit to Creede. We will now make an annual visit to Creede to attend shows at the CRT.
The family watched "Pants on Fire", The play was adlibbed and the audience was a part of it. My three year old and her friend (also 3) had a blast answering questions and inputting comments that were acted out by the stand up actors. Made for an hilarious early afternoon.
Our daughter attended "Pants on Fire" with her best friend and their respective mothers. They all enjoyed the experience tremendously. The theatre is small enough that there are no bad seats. The girls were allowed to be on the floor beside the stage and interact with the actors. They are still talking about it. Go. Enjoy!
We saw "The Liar" at a matinee and loved it - our group was from 20 - 74 years old - and it was perfect for all of us. I had asked one of the girls at the theater which show she might recommend for our 20 and 23 year old grandsons. She thought they would like this one - and she was right. Very professional and actors were amazing. We tried to get tickets later in the week for "Annie" but it was sold out. We would definitely go to the theater again. We had lunch at the Creede Hotel Restaurant - it was very good and right next door.
We attended "The Lair" on August 31st at the end of an amazing weekend in Creede. The theater is warm and welcoming, just like the staff. The actors did a wonderful job drawing us into the period and taking us through a humor filled journey. GREAT JOB! We will be back again. Do not miss this GEM in Creede.
We were part of a full house to see "Annie Get Your Gun" on a Sunday night. The young and enthusiastic cast inspired the audience to relax and enjoy the show. The theater is remarkably more professional than I expected in such a remote location. Seats are comfortable, modern restrooms, and good-sized lobby area. Sound system is good . . . we could hear well without being blasted with noise. Ticket prices are quite affordable . . . less than the cog railway to Pike's Peak!
On a girl friend's trip to South Fork CO, we attended a play at the Creede Repertory Theater. We were totally impressed with the costumes, the scenery and the acting was top notch. The play based on a Spanish 16th century work is performed with all the dialogue in rhyme. It was funny and entertaining. The theater company is celebrating their 48th season and I can certainly see why they have remained such an outstanding theatrical enterprise. After the performance, several actors go outside the theater and have a meet and greet with audience members. That just makes the outing even more special. Attending a play at the Creede Repertory Theatre is certainly an enjoyable and fun experience.
We go yearly to see Creede Repertory Theatre, NEVER have been disappointed. They are top notch and know that if you like a live show you will be pleased (seasonal)
The performances were great. The shows were well done. What a pleasant surprise for a small theater in a remote location. The theater was small and intimate. Well Done,
We liked the whole experience. Actors are good and they have a small reception for the audience afterwards. Theater is small and personal. Restaurants near by for dinner beforehand.
