cheyenne mountain zoo

动物园还算不错,我觉得要比普韦布洛动物园好,但是又不如丹佛动物园。有很多上坡路要走,所以很痛苦。似乎很多时候并不是所有的动物都在动物园里的。然而对于一个小动物园而言,还是蛮可爱的。还是有些事情可以做的。食物有些贵,而且门票也是有点贵的。

这个动物园是我去过的最棒的一个!在那里你真的可以给长颈鹿喂吃的,还可以看灰熊捕鱼的过程,还有其他一些动物也能喂食。另外,爬爬夏延山也是个好锻炼。

长颈鹿太酷了,但动物园其他的地方就相当一般。很多山丘,地图上并没有完全显示所有的动物园地标,所以我们本着天上掉馅饼的心态去探索,不过这有点令人烦恼,特别是当你爬到某个地方的时候。但是,在动物园的这一天还算不错。

这个动物园太叫人喜欢了。围栏里能看到好多好多长颈鹿。围栏外面的通道正好是长颈鹿脑袋的高度,它们可以直接从我们的手上吃到东西。动物园里有出售生菜,可以用来喂长颈鹿。孩子大人们都喜欢那些喂东西给长颈鹿吃,看着它们的长舌头有趣死了。一开始就和长颈鹿来了场亲密接触,动物园的开场设计不赖吧。还去喂了小鸡和小马。这里与动物们的互动比其他我到过动物园要多。某些通道对行动不便的人来说或许比较陡,不过大多数景点都很容易抵达。

这个公园有着美国领先的长颈鹿展出。他们非常华丽而且被照料的很好!小长颈鹿可爱、干净。漂亮的动物们在展览区展现了很好的健康状况,让我相信这里是个很棒的动物园。

This is an amazing view on the side of a mountain. I have never been in a zoo where you could touch giraffes or get this close to elephants and hippos. It is very steep. There is a stunning aerial ride that takes you to the top and you could choose to work your way down and cut some of the walking. The ONLY reason I would not give it 5 stars is the aerial ride attendant did not prompt/show us how to bring the safety bar down and we were halfway up the mountain with no protection until we figured it out. Go in the morning and you can hear chimes ringing at a shrine on top of the mountain, plus you can avoid some of the crowds.

This zoo offers lots of interaction with animals. We fed giraffes leaves of lettuce, fed birds with bird food on the end of popsicle sticks, got to walk in the enclosure with wallabies and also pet a baby wallaby that was held by a docent. You should know that this zoo requires more walking than most. It is built into the side of a mountain, so there is a lot of uphill walking (great workout when you are pushing a double stroller though!). There are some elevators for some portions, but it is a long wait for them especially on busy days.

We loved all the sights here, the only draw back, the heat! Thankfully, there are several misting stations.

My family absolutely loves this zoo. It's not a big zoo, but certainly worth the time and money for a visit. It's fun to feed the giraffes and a nice carousel for the little ones to ride.

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a "pocket" facitily. It does not have huge exhibits and cover all the animals. This zoo has done a wonderful job of specializing in a small number of species. Most of the oldest parts of the zoo have been upgraded to better habitat style buildings. Giraffes are one of the specialties - they are great at breding them - plus you get to buy small packets of food and can feed them. Oh, what tongues! This zoo was built on the side of Cheyenne Mountain and there are great views over the city. There is a very old carousel at the upper reaches of the zoo. This is family and kid friendly. Local families should consider buying an annual membership. During the summer, the zoo has sleep overs and other fun things for kids.

Definitely worth your time and money attending this zoo!! Make sure you bring a stroller for the little ones! There are several benches and places to stop and rest along the way for the grandparents!!! Love this place and will attend several more times!!!

What a wonderful place for all ages. This is one of the most spectacular zoos you will ever see. Besides being located on Cheyenne Mountain, high above the city where the views are ewe inspiring, the exhibits are even better. The animals are placed in special settings which are similar to their home environment so we can appreciate how they really live. This zoo is someplace you must see. Plan on staying the entire day. Lots are rest areas, above average... actually very good food and refreshments. A play yard, petting zoo, and educational stops for the young and old alike. There is a nominal fee for entrance, but worth far more. A reason alone to come to Colorado Springs.

We went to the zoo and not was amazing!!! You could get up close and feed the giraffes! I have been to the zoos but I think for the six of this zoo it was the best.

Feed the giraffes was amazing! Enjoyed the atmosphere and will defiantly return as soon as possible!!

Before I begin one disclaimer... I am a member and supporter of this zoo for 18 years. Why? Because I think this is a spectacular zoo. The location, the exhibits and the programs offered are outstanding. Each time I visit COS there are two places I must go, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and Garden of the Gods.
