history museum/smith educational tower

Very nice presentations and creative use of space. Interactive displays for all ages. Well maintained and surprises around each corner! Climb the tower and see the town and the Monument.

This is one of the best small town museums I've been in. Great exhibits, thoughtfully laid out, in-depth information, I could go on. With each exhibit I looked at, I became more impressed with solid academic feel to the information and history, as if it were carefully researched. The exhibits were also very cool just to look at. Great place!

Even though the Museum is relatively small, it is packed with exciting information relative to the Grand Junction area. Covering Native American artifacts, the history of the town and businesses, and even a stagecoach! We learned a lot about the Western Slope of Colorado and its heritage.
