if one enjoys critters, especially birds, then you will enjoy your outing at DBC at Chatfield.geese galore, ducks aplenty, coyotes here and there, perhaps a deer or fox too.room for the kids to roam too.

Great display of blown glass art situated in a garden. Lots of lights so try and visit at night if you can take the cold. If it gets too cold you can go inside one of the green houses.

This is a beautiful, seasonal display that is a wonderful way to end a day or weekend with friends and family. The lighting is beautiful and you must be certain to visit the playground area where the lights are synced with the music. End the walk with hot cocoa around the fire and don't miss touring the shotgun-style ranch house! Great place to take visitors, especially in nice December weather! The entrance fee is reasonable and kids will enjoy the funny glasses which make displays into reindeer or snowmen. There is an extra $2.00 charge for the eyeglasses.

The Trail of Lights is a great experience! They have over 1 million lights up in their display. ..it is really wonderful. They have some warming huts if it is cold and some refreshments if you want some treats.

No matter what time of year you visit, the variety of the gardens never stop. It is such fun to take the kids out to run the. Ron maze in fall and experience the quieter time of natur when lush and vibrancy settles down to grasses in their fall splendor and shrieking kids noisily make their way through the maze. The Christmas Lights follow and delight many kids, young and old. Even driving by on the roads nearby you get to enjoy the colorful lights, but up close, oh how beautiful

I've been a member of the Denver Botanic Gardens for the last 2 years. Although I only get to the York Street location a few times a year, I visit the Gardens at Chatfield on almost a monthly basis. Chatfield does not offer the flowers you'll find at York Street, it offers a more relaxed atmosphere with a great place to walk. My niece (5 years old) go for walks here regularly. There are animals, including goats, ponies, chickens and more that are always a highlight for my niece. On my own, I make a walking loop on the outside of the Gardens for a good 1-mile hike. During the Holidays, the Christmas Lights are a must see. Although less plentiful than the York Street location or the Denver Zoo, the layout is great, with a bonfire. The Chatfield Gardens are a can't miss if you're looking for a relaxing, countryside walk, activities for kids or a memorable Holiday experience.

Checked this little gem out whilst in downtown Denver. Very beautiful, well organized gardens, with a lot of character! Especially enjoyed the oriental garden section.

What a gorgeous site for a casual wedding!!! We visited this venue in March as a potential for an August wedding. They had just completed a controlled burn and the barn was being resided. Not a great way to select the ideal location. However, we had seen pictures on their website from previous weddings that were splendid and were assured that everything would be just as lovely. The wedding gazebo was a picture perfect site with wild flowers all around the grassed area and festooned in planters. The Green Barn and patio with all the twinkling lights were an ideal setting for the cocktails, lawn games, dinner and dancing. The staff, with whom we worked both before and during the wedding, were professional, flexible and had a sense of humor. The golf cart service for our handicapped guests was a wonderful way to move people with dignity between the sites. If you choose to have pictures taken by the bridge and waterfall, be sure to bring insect spray – the mosquitoes were voracious. We had about 110 guests in the Green Barn, for dinner which was just about right.

This is a lovely park, but doesn't feel anything like the Botanic Gardens downtown. The concerts here are very fun, and so easy to get to from C470.

Great Venue for a concert/Show...Open Festival Seating, Trees naturally frame the stage-semi amptheater effect on terraced grass field...food and beverages available...even when sold out audience is great and acoustics good...View-foothills of the Rockies hard to beat.

Came here to explore it during a free day admission. It took 40 minutes to got here and didn't understand what the point of this area is. There is not anything close to a botanic garden. Next time we'll try the Botanic Garden in Denver at York St.

Set beside Chatfield State park, these gardens are both beautiful and relaxing. Hay rides, corn mazes, old farm houses and cottages, and even a petting zoo. You can rent out areas for birthdays and weddings too!

It was a lovely morning when we visits this attraction in Littleton. We toured the grounds, planted with mostly local varieties and then visited the new butterfly enclosure. A knowledgeable guide took us around. The butterflies were just warming up and starting to move from plant to plant. It is freshly planted and quite attractive. When it fills in, it will be even more beautiful. Additional varieties of butterflies are scheduled to arrive, and it really will be something. Very enjoyable.

Very well done display of lights. A pleasant walk through the gardens with almost every tree wrapped in a plethora of lights of all colors, sizes. Interactive areas for youngsters and adults, warming hut available along the walk. Nice family holiday activity.

It was a cold night, but that wasn't about to stop the fun. It was so beautiful. They had a fire pit set up and they were also selling hot cocoa and candy. They also have a warming hut, which is also, where the kids can do a craft. We also took a hayride. Lots of fun!
