Nestled in a little valley near downtown Loveland, this park overlooks the Rocky Mountains. There are many different amenities. First, a large dog park - two different fenced in areas allow for your dog to be solo or make new friends. There are different kinds of playground equipment for the kids and in the summer there are some active water features for them to cool off. Picnic tables in and under cover complete with a large amount of grills for gathering friends while watching the kids play. A river that separates several ball fields and the skate park with Fairgrounds Park is also a fun place for kids, dogs, and adults to have fun. There is also large amount of space to play frisbee or set up a quick soccer game of sorts. There is also a historic home on property that has a community garden around it and kids love it when the train goes by and they can wave at the conductor. This park also abuts the 17 plus miles of bike paths that are great for families. We like to bike there, eat lunch with the beautiful view, go to the nearby Sonic for a treat, and then bike home. It's free and wonderful!

When my great nieces visit, they can't seem to get enough of this Park! They love the playground, water feature park, and the Big Thompson River that they can wade in. A walk through to the east end of the park, and we are at Sonic for a limeade and onion rings.In the summer, on Sunday afternoon is the best Farmer's Market in the area.

Great array of covered picnic tables. There is a river running alongside the park with a bridge going across that you can walk over to a paved trail that takes you on a nice hike by the river. There is a water feature that is perfect for kids to play in during the summer. Some playground equipment and sand complete the kid experience. The dog park is my only concern and that is due to the amount of cockleburs in the area that always get stuck in my dog's paws. For this reason I will take my grandkids to the park but I will not take my dogs to the dog park. Beautiful area with well kept grounds and nice restrooms. In the summer there is a nice Farmer's Market on the weekends!

Great splash area, playground for kids, covered picnic areas. The Farmer's Market is there on Sundays. Oh, they have a dog park also!

Great amenities, a few sculptures and nice trails along the Big Thompson River. Don't go too far from the park. I was warned there were homeless people near the railroad tracks. If you stay around the park area, you can walk for quite some time and be safe with lots of people around. Contains a dog park too.
