colorado surf factory - day adventures

I have been rafting with several different companies, and this was one of the best! The guides were fun, knowledgeable, and safe. It's a family-owned business, and they do themed rides and have different options for trips. They raft a beautiful section of the river. I'd recommend it!

I just want to share that the company as a whole is great! I went on a half day trip and had a blast! They provide everything you need/want from a helmet, wet suite, boots, the raft.. (obvious..) and a charismatic guide. The experience is one I plan to go back to and highly encourage others to try it out if you're considering something fun to do.

I have been rafting a few times with a couple different companies and Colorado Surf Factory is hands down the best. Everyone who works there makes it fun and turns the whole day into an adventure. It's perfect for families or just a group of friends and you'll have a blast whether you go for a half or full day. If you are looking for rafting with a fun, goofy, family feel you'll love CSF!

I can't get enough of Colorado Surf Factory!! Last summer I went on four of their half day trips, with three different raft guides! Each of them have incredibly fun and easy going personalities! I also felt safe and well informed by the guides. I enjoyed the rafting trips so much that I am excited to plan an over night trip with them and a more advanced trip with them this summer! I can't imagine a more quality experience rafting the Arkansas River than with Colorado Surf Factory!

We went for a half-day trip with two children (6 and 8) and we had an absolute blast. I was a bit hesitant as this was our first time rafting, especially as I didn't realize the trip included class 3 whitewater (why oh why didn't I think to ask about this beforehand??), but our guide was awesome. Personable, chatty and fun, but also extremely knowledgeable and serious about his job. When the water got rough, I trusted him. The entire staff paid attention to the safety of the children, checking life jackets and helmets, talking to them about how to sit and hold their paddles, etc. We called to reserve in advance and found that this was one of the easier places to communicate with long-distance, with a professional office operation, despite its small size. There are changing rooms and you can leave keys, etc, with the office staff. Best to dress in bathing suits or quick-drying material, as you will get very wet.This stretch of the river offers a good mixture of calm and wilder water and beautiful scenery. Our whole family loved it and we can't wait to go rafting again! (Note you will do a lot of paddling! I was definitely sore the next day, but then I am in only average shape.)
