the powder keg brewing

This is by far my new favorite brewery. It's not just because I live in Niwot either. The main reason is obvious, the beer. Powder Keg has a great selection of outside brewery selections on tap but what keeps me coming back is their own creative spins on seasonal creations. One of my go to beers and one of their staples ,the Totes McOats, delish. The Saison is a keeper too. They don't do food but have some small plate offerings that will help you keep drinking. They do have a rotation of food trucks that seems to be picking up. Would love to see more trucks at different times and days of the week. I love the live music and jam sessions they have up on the raised seating/ stage area. The sound is great bouncing off all the old brick and wood thru out the brewery. The last thing I would like to mention for all those families with kids out there is they are kid friendly. This doesn't give you a free pass for bartender babysitting but the staff is very nice. I'm sure if you smile enough they may even show you where the games and coloring books are stashed. Now go have a beer and take a load off. Enjoy!
