I live in southern Colorado, and I've been enjoying the variety of hot springs colorado has to offer for years- the more intimate settings as well as the more public settings such as salida hot springs. We had a reservation for a private pool that we catered our entire night around (dinner included.) When we showed up for our reservation we were told "sorry, your reservation was overbooked " and we can't accommodate you. No big deal, except we settled on a second choice restaurant in order to make sure the hot springs could happen. Ultimately, the biggest problem was the attitude of the woman who worked up front. When I expressed my frustration with the situation and asked to talk to someone who could help resolve the problem she shrugged her shoulders and told me there was nothing she could do. As I continued to explain my frustration in a normal tone of voice she loudly accused me of "yelling" at her. I've never seen such immature and innapropriate customer service. Unless you are looking for a large pool full of loud children this is probably not the hot springs for you.

We go to the pool frequently and it is now remodeled - air handlers, dehumidifier, and remodeled/painted locker rooms. We are very lucky to have a pool like this in Salida - it's the finest.

As a senior, I appreciate the availability of this community resource for my workouts in the lap lanes and different classes that keep me motivated and active. Staff members are wonderful, enthusiastic, and fun to interact with in a clean and well maintained facility.

Typically, when visiting hot springs my primary goal is to soak in warmer springs starting at about 90 - 95 degrees then going upward to 115. However, here the temps are barely warm around 85 - 93. Cooler hot spring experience that I found typical for a swimming pool versus hot springs.

What a place to spend a day. Set amongst amazing mountains & scenery this place with clear waters & blue skies is just what you need unwind. Slightly expensive when you add up everything then again what price can you put on the whole area & experience. Friendly & helpful staff on hand to answer any queries.

Nice place for a good soak.Very clean facilities, always a plus, Kid friendly. lockers for $1. I think it was $16 to get in and $2 for the towels. Hot 'soda' springs water with some minerals. The pool for laps seemed a bit cool around 96 or 97 degrees. The hot pool ( right around 100 degres has a couple of water features one like a waterfall good for the neck, shoulders. Very relaxing.Nice and helpful staff.I'll stop again if I'm in the area..

Since our earlier plans of the day were dashed against the rocks because of the rain and mishap in Leadville we ended up with nothing to do and nothing planned. It was raining outside and we weren’t sure what we could do. My oldest daughter, having her heart broken, by the earlier events of the day at Leadville, needed some cheering up. We checked trip advisor looking for things to do in Salida. The list was narrow already, but even smaller due to the rain. We thought the Salida Hot Springs would be nice since our daughter had wanted to swim, but our hotel didn’t have a pool. Just she and I went and my wife and youngest daughter stayed at the hotel to take a nap and watch some television. The Salida Hot Springs is right on the main drag that goes through Salida. It’s next to a park and I believe it’s a city owned facility. The facility may very well be a hot springs or warmed by a hot springs or whatever. Let’s face it though; this is just a big heated indoor swimming pool. Upon entry I had to pay $16 for my daughter and me to swim. I was given a locker key so I could go lock up my wallet and iPhone in the men’s locker room. The pool is very large, and is divided into 3 sections. Two thirds of the pool is a lap pool and had a bounce inflatable slide on one side. It looked kinda fun actually, but my daughter is still not 100% waterproof. The other one third of the pool is divided into 2 sections. One section is a zero entry that very gradually gets deeper as you make your way to the other end. As you get to the end the pool turns a corner and goes back the other way so that it ends parallel with the zero entry right next door to it making a large U shape. In the middle of the pool there is a large T shaped pipe with water pouring out of it like a water fall. The zero entry was around 98 degrees, but as you made your way around to the other side of the U shape of the pool the temperature with up to just under 100 degrees. At the corner of this area of the 4 ft. deep pool there was some steps and railing to climb out. We spent most of our time splashing and wading around for the next hour or so. The pool was filled with what looked to me like locals and everyone seemed to have that look about them like they come here all the time. The pool water was nice because it didn’t smell or taste, and wasn’t chlorinated at all from what I could tell. After about an hour and a half we got out and dried off. I went to the locker room to grab my stuff and before we left we played a little ping pong at the open end of the building near the door. For what this truly is, an indoor heated pool, its way too expensive. Price alone may give us pause, when considering coming back next time. I would recommend Salida Hot Springs if you are stuck because of the rain and are swimming in money.

Went here with the grandkids and had a great time. The kids enjoyed the water slide and swimming. A bit pricey at $18 a day to swim, but the water is clean and the staff is friendly.

The big pool was good for laps. The hot part of the pool had too many children but did have a down spout area good for sore muscles....

The Salida Hot Springs is a nice local pool, but not what I'd expect from something called a hot spring. The pool is heated with water from Poncha Spings, which technically makes it so. That said, it's a nice pool with lap lanes, a small slide and an area for small kids. Smaller children are required to prove they can swim the length of the pool to gain access to larger pool with the slide, much to my 6 year old's disappointment.

The nice thing about Salida Hot springs is that it is indoors, which is good for a rainy day. The main area is basically set up like any indoor recreation center, A play pool for the kids and a lap pool for adults. So we opted for a private soak room which was enjoyable. We payed $9 each for an hour, the rooms are nice but nothing fancy. The tub is large enough for two and takes about 20 minutes to fill. Over all for the cost and purpose of a quick soak, we enjoyed our morning here.

These hot springs are very good for little kids & had I known about it when my kids were small my review would have been 5. But my kids are older now and there just wasn't much for them to do. We stayed only a couple of hours. They need more places for adults to sit and relax.

We spent the day here was really nice. Hot Springs were cheaper than any others we have been to. Kids enjoyed themselves. Water was clean and odor free.
