Saw ancient pictographs, as well as modern graffiti. Not a difficult walk, though about 2 miles. Hope to return and try some of the other trails. Seeing the rock walls from the picnic area is interesting enough to make the drive on endless gravel roads worth the trip.

You really kind of need to go out with a guide but lots of little hidden nooks and crannie in the canyonlands. Old Indian drawings on cavewalls, old coppermine and spring. On Equinox days there is a cave that the sun shines through directly on an ancient (thought to be)Celtic Ogam.

This canyon is easily accessible by car. Restroom and picnic facilities are available. Rock art (petroglyphs and pictographs) are abundant, although many have been defaced. Crack Cave is open only on Equinox weekends, but is visable through a gate. Watch for snakes in summer! Take your own water. Temperatures may be extreme in Summer.
