Beautiful golf course! Challenging, but fun! Beautiful club house and restaurant. Friendly staff and golf pros on hand if needed.
Nice course and they keep it it in very good condition. It isa little long for us old guys, so do not hesitate to play off the forward tees.
This is a good golf course. It winds its way through a residential area and requires a variety of shot making skills. No one will mistake it for Augusta National, but the price you have to pay is probably worth what you pay for. We went after the rains and the course was in remarkably good shape.
Took advantage of a special offer to play for $25 each, incl cart. Good rate, poor course conditions. Many bare spots in the fairways, also many soggy spots. Not a great experience. Wait a couple of years while they get the course in better shape.
For those who avoided Thorncreek based on previous management practices, you may want to take another look. Earlier this year the city of Thornton took over management of the course, invested several hundred thousand dollars in improvements and the results are outstanding. The staff is very friendly compared to the past and the course plays very well. The greens are terrific and although they have replaced a substantial amount of sod for the fairways, there remain a few bare spots. Overall it is a challenging layout and the course welcomes players which is a treat.
Well kept course, good value, friendly staff! Convenient location. On the whole it was a very happy experience, and I will return on our next visit to Thornton, CO.
This course is ok for the Denver area. But not worth what we had to experience. Our outing on August 21st was absolutely awful. Their marshalls and management are completely misguided and ignorant. We received 1 warning on the front nine about not keeping up with the threesome in front of us. (we were a foursome) At no point were we slowing the group behind us. On hole 10 we were told to skip a hole, even though nobody was behind us. Why would you rush your patrons unnecessarily? We were approached once again on hole 14 and told to skip 2 holes because we were not on a 4 hour pace, even though the group behind us was 2 HOLES BEHIND! When we argued this point the marshall said we could talk to his GM if we had a problem, and which we did. The GM also told us to hurry, even though he had no clue (basically info from his not-to-bright marshalls) about what was happening on the course. For this alone I will never return to this course. In addition to this, the course was in terrible shape! This summer in the Denver area has by no means been drought-like. This course was full of brown, dead grass. At times the course looked like it was winter golf! Thorncreek, there are plenty of golfing options in the Denver area, and your customer service sucks!
