I saw this place on a list of the best tap houses in the US and knew I had to go. It's not a fancy place, but the beer list is impressive, the food is good, and the service is friendly. We were there during the day and watched a game. Be sure to move your car after two hours if you are at the meter.
We went here while on vacation, and this place was one of my favorites. Its a hidden gem as you are walking by-- made me feel like I was hanging with the locals. Downstairs there is pool, darts, and other things. We enjoyed hanging out downstairs. The bartender was very helpful when we asked for a light beer, as we wanted to stay local, but not Coors Light local. We appreciate a nice helpful bartender, and not one that will just hand you a beer and not help you try something different.
We came out of the way based on glowing reviews on Tripadvisor, but found the place to be only mediocre. To start I ordered a beer, I can't remember which, and the waiter told me they were out of it because they had missed an order that day. For food, we started with the Chile Cheese Fries which were ok. Nothing special though. I ordered the Falling Rock Dip sandwich and my wife ordered the street tacos. Mine was below average and my wife didn't enjoy hers either. Now I know this isn't a top end eatery, that is bar food. I accept that, we knew that going in. We just expected it to be better based on all the positive reviews, that's all
I love the size of this bar. The games and pool tables are a great touch. They support local craft brewers and even grow their own hops onsite! It does have a bit of a "I'm here to be seen" feel but that is anywhere you go, really. The drink options are pretty impressive. Even outside of Beer. They have nice cider options and liquor as well. I haven't eaten here, but I hear it is really good. Love to come here before or after a Rockies game and kick back and relax with friends.
Stayed over in Denver on our tour through National Parks with Archers Cosmos (excellent tour).). Ate here on way to Coors Field. 5 mins walk away. Delicious chicken cobb salad and huge pastrami toasty. $20 for both! Huge choice of beers, really too many to count, such a temptation to just stay there forever! Couldn't find a fault.
wow! Simply fantastic beer list, service and atmosphere. This was the last place I stopped before the airport after the GABF and I saved the best for last apparently. I never wanted to leave!
My husband and I spent several hours at Falling Rock Tap House watching the Florida/bama game. Based on our previous experiences with some Denver area tap houses, we weren't expecting much. Our expectations were highly exceeded. Falling Rock is great. The selection of beers both on tap and in bottles is excellent. Paul, our server, was very knowledgeable and stopped by the table frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was also quite good. Very highly recommended.
My kind of atmosphere. Warm wood, comfortable seating (including some couches by a fireplace), walls decorated with signs, big bar. The burgers are fantastic, and I'm a VEGETARIAN. That's because you can sub any burger with a veggie burger, and they're the homemade kind, not the gross processed kind. I highly recommend the OMG burger, because it's OMG.Try the Odell 59er. It's a buttery, golden wheat that is to die for. Cheers!
Loved this place. They had a GREAT beer selection and the vegetarian burger was really good. The also have an outdoor seating area. Seems to be a really popular "after work" place. They also honored a gift certificate after 12 months. I will definitely return during my stay here!
This is an excellent place for the beer enthusiast. They have an endless selection of beer both on tap and bottled, including several gluten free. I had a dinner salad and it was huge and extremely satisfying. The others in my party got the burgers and they were also so big no one could finish them. Waiter was attentive and personable. Loved the decor as well...like a neighborhood place with memorabilia on the walls.
wow...there are over 100 beds on tap here! Great selection - great stuff. no Miller lite here...just the good stuff. High quality belgiums, microbrews, on and on and on.You don't even know where to start. The atmosphere is old log cabin-woodsy-dive bar-ish. Love it.There is a nice food selection. Sandwichs' were great and at a decent price. Some servers seemed less than thrilled to be working. Our server was fine.the beer is great! food is great! - if like good beer get there
Loved the selection and the atmosphere. Perfect for beer lovers, and our food was great as well. Service here was exceptional--a friend asked our waitress to create a sauce for her, and she did! There's a reason why this place has the best rating in Denver.
I have been here before a Rockies game a few years ago and brought my husband in this weekend for his first time. He about died when he saw how many beers were on tap! The atmosphere is great, and a fun place to get a drink before or after a game.
Got recommend this tap house from a bar man in a Chicago's. when i walk in and saw how many taps where behind the bar all i could do was grin. You'll find a beer you like here. For a beer lover it is heaven on earth. Needless to stay may of had one to many sat at the bar chatting with the locals and the bar man. what a great place!Oh the food was nice to.
If you're a fan of beer this is one of the best places to go for a drink in Denver. To my knowledge they don't have a mixed drink offering or at least not a large list if they do but their list of beers that they have on tap is great. Large selection and every beer or cider that I've gotten here has been great. Plus the prices aren't bad and considering they're downtown Denver they're actually pretty good.
