This used to be one of the best fishing lakes in Wyoming in the month of May just after Ice went off. There is a lot of trophy size rainbow trout in this lake. I am talking about trout that weigh from 5lbs on up, I am not sure of how large the largest rainbow might be in the lake. If you go to Wyoming and are in the area of Laramie go north toward medicine bow. At a small town (Rock River) go approximately 1 mile and turn right on gravel road and go approximately 18 miles, you will never regret it.
Support this place. Laura and Tim are amazing and all their efforts to bring the Arts to the mountains are worth it. And they're an awarding winning group!!! Love it!!! There is something for everyone!
What a wonderful treasure for this small town. My husband and I have been to several plays and musical performances at this intimate little theatre and thoroughly enjoyed each one. The performers are of highest quality and the productions very professional. During intermission, there is an art gallery to explore, while listening to music and sipping wine. Now that we have moved to Pagosa, we plan to go to more of their productions and to bring visiting friends and family.
Amazing venue. Gracious and professional owners. Broadway caliber shows in a beautiful mountain town. A true gem!
Small town Pagosa with BIG time talent. the productions use both local & imported talent to put on the best plays and musicals. It will blow you away. You are in a small town and a small theatre, yet you can experience a fantastic live show!
The Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts is one of the most innovative, creative and beautiful places to visit in Southwest Colorado. Looking for good visual arts? Their massive gallery has some of the most exquisite hand made sculptures, pottery and paintings that I have seen under one roof. Some local, and some from out of the area.More interested in the performing arts? They have such talented folks coming in from all over the United States! Their season is full of top notch shows and regional premieres! No one else is doing this around here! The work that they are presenting here is BETTER then most of the work happening in Denver and other regional theaters across the area. They are even a short drive from Durango - even New Mexico!Stop in - grab a (very affordable) adult beverage at the bar, have a look around the gallery and stay for some theatre that you will not soon forget! Easily the best attraction in Pagosa Springs, besides the springs! We will be back and we WILL be telling friends!
Beautiful art work by local artisans, many varied and unusual prints, jewelry and my favorite, hand made pottery.
Talented actors, great performances and an absolute thrill.. Their productions, set work and costumes are awesome. It's owned locally by a talented young couple who are so exciting and fun to watch. Not to be missed. This place just gets better with every new show.
A surprising and fascinating small town theater with big city professionalism! The PSCA theater is brought to life by Tim and Laura Moore who have aspired to bring quality professional theater to a small corner in the Rocky Mountains. From classic to experimental to musical to comedy to drama to children's theater this place is a must-see-and-do whenever you find yourself in Pagosa.A special gem in a long list of great things about Pagosa Springs!
The theatre is amazing, fun, and a real Gem in Pagosa. Great place for a romantic date or an evening out with friends.
I know...that title sounds like damning with faint praise. But it's true. There were not ushers or even signs indicating where the theater space was. There was a program, but who would know to pick it up?...it was in a 3-ring binder among other 3-ring binders with a bunch of programs from other shows. Who does that? The lobby space was excellent and doubled as an art gallery. The theater space was good but not used well. A thrust stage, but the actors playing 90% to the front, virtually ignoring the audience to the sides of the stage. Some actors had microphones and some didn't; a thing that really bugs me in theater. They didn't seem to understand the problem with the speakers (playing accompaniment tracks) mounted at the back of the stage and the un-miked singer singing close to and in the direction of the front audience only...the singer might as well have been miming. The miked singers were easy to hear and well-mixed with the tracks. The production values were low-budget but creatively used. The talent was very good, though some of the casting was questionable. A very good family show and I don't regret it at all. Overall my husband and I enjoyed it, and my 11-year-old enjoyed it a lot. Unless you're a complete theater snob I'd recommend it if you're staying in Pagosa Springs
Tim and Laura Moore came to Pagosa Springs and took it by storm when they started this quaint "Black Box" Theater. We have seen every single amazing play, musicals, and concert since the first, many at least twice!. Easily as good, if not better than, Creede Theater
Sunday matinee for Beauty and the Beast. Very friendly staff and the performance was top notch! Could not believe the quality of talent and costumes. Amazing!
Amazing talent! Big bang for your money! Actors, costumes ... first rate. Great art on display in the lobby. Always a fun experience.
Mesmerizing production of Beauty and the Beast! Our entire family enjoyed this company, not only the leads, but especially the "Enchantress". Jaclyn was amazing with her dancing and multiple costume changes! We've seen this musical on the BIG stage at DCPA, and thoroughly enjoyed the intimacy and higher quality of these "small town" performers! Keep the great work and I can't wait to come back!
