Beautiful place to unwind after a long active day. The massage therapy here is excellent! There is a "hobbit house" where they have a treatment table. Felt all the tension and muscle strains melt away! Ask for Mike. I came here with a friend to experience the healing water of this mountain spring. The place is beautiful with the spring getting progressively hotter as you move up from the cold natural lake to the top pool. It looks natural, but is managed as a pool. As hotsprings go, this is the best I have seen in this area. Worth the drive and the day.

These are definitely worth the ride if you are staying in Steamboat. The setting is very pretty and on a cold day, it's really fun. The changing and bathroom facilities were rustic but clean. If you're going in the winter, you will definitely need 4 wheel drive.

After a huge day skiing at Steamboat Springs Resort, a few of us soaked in these amazing hot springs adjacent to a semi frozen over river. Lithium based, not sulphur, it didn't smell at all. Lithium is drinkable, and is a natural mood enhancer sometimes used as an anti-depressant. Three large gravel bottomed pools of varying temperatures restored us as we watched the moon rise between tall trees in this beautiful place. Be very careful when entering and exiting as it is slippery. At $12, this magical and healing experience is well worth it!

While a commercial endeavor, this hot springs experience feels rustic. Travel to the springs sets the tone with a lovely drive through the Colorado countryside. Puffs of new snow shrouded fields, walls and rooftops. A quick change in the public changing area (wear your swimsuit under your clothes!) in winter chills the feet but makes the first step into the 104 degree pool a delight. And then ahhhh! For those who want a more upscale place to change, there is a warm cabin that was given rave reviews by my wife. But for my son and I, cold and then hot was just the ticket. We lazed in the hotter of the two pools until my son hopped out, submerged into the 50 degree option, stayed a few minutes and then jumped back into hot. Well worth the trip. A big value for a few bucks - especially after skiing the Boat earlier in the day. Don't miss it!

I just had the most relaxing and enjoyable day at the Strawberry Park Hot Springs. I am so happy that I book through Hot Springs Shuttle, I couldn’t be happier. Dan, our driver, was so pleasant and informative. He picked me up right at our condo! He really added to the whole experience. As for the Hot Springs themselves, the setting is so beautiful. There are several pools to choose from with varying temperatures. I took a mini plunge, I stayed on the steps of the cold spring – there was still ice in there! I enjoyed myself so much, I am going back tomorrow with the family.

We went by recommendation of my cousin who is living in Steamboat Springs- she takes her friends there whenever they visit. It is EXTREMELY affordable ($12.50 adult) and you can stay as long as you like. There are several little pools to have more intimate chats with guests, and two larger pools to gather. There is also a naturally cold pool attached that guests plunge into and then run back to their warm spot. This is vital!! It feels so great and really wakes your body up.There are washroom facilities up from the springs and a changing area, but I would recommend to wear your swimwear under your clothes before heading there. An invigorating spot that is nicely off the beaten path, surrounded by nature. What else do you need after a day of skiing?

Amazing hot spring. Went here 15 years ago and there was nothing, just the natural springs. Now they have built it with stairs, and have mondernized it all. Still nice though, but lost some of its mystic. Be careful of the angry man in the booth. He belittles you and is aggressive. No alcohol allowed, but obviously if your discreet you can sneak it in. 12$ to enter

For those of you who have driven the mountain road up to the Strawberry Park Hot Springs, you see at the bottom, a sign posted by Routt County stated that between the months of November and April ALL vehicles traveling on that road MUST have four-wheel drive, snow tires/chains. Dozens of vehicles attempt to travel that road are not following the law. Please also note that on the Saturday mentioned it snowed most of the day in Steamboat Springs and the county could not keep up with the plowing. This crippled the road. What makes it crippling is the ice underneath the fresh snow and the vehicles sliding all over the road slickens it up even more. The Routt County Sheriff stopped vehicles from going up the mountain by closing the road. The Hot Springs Shuttle, which is bus-style seating where Sweet Pea Tours is a larger vehicle offering perimeter seating, was already on the road and managed to maneuver through the "ditched" vehicles for only ONE run to bring passengers down. The two companies worked together to return those passengers to their condominium, hotel, motel, etc. whether they were paid passengers or not. The group Nate was with chose to travel in a private vehicle down the mountain. The moment they changed the transportation method was the moment they released liability from Sweet Pea Tours to return them back to the place they were staying. Once that information was received from the employees of the Hot Springs to the Sweet Pea manager, the driver was released because no passengers were needing a ride. That simple. No issue of paying overtime was in the mix. The Strawberry Park Hot Springs have many places for changing including "Grandma's Cabin" at the top of the path. This cabin is heated and dry with a big open area for people to wait for transportation. The bathroom facilities can also keep people "out of the cold". The employee at the gate had made a joking comment about how the people waiting might as well enjoy more of the springs and soak some more in the heated pools because the delay was going to be for a while. Also, the closed-in bathroom facilities can also keep people "out of the cold".The communication factor is incorrect. Constant calls were made to County dispatch as well as to the Hot Springs and to the driver. Voicemail left on lead passengers' contact phone and texting was attempted. The car that picked them up, at the bottom of the mountain, belongs to someone who has lived in the area for over 25 years and is quite aware of road conditions when such a storm occurs. The vehicle was equip with studded snow tires that were one year old and the driver (me) drove at a slow speed on flat roads because female passenger was shaken up after seeing all the abandoned all-wheel non-chained vehicles that crowded the road preventing any travel up or down. The call the next morning was of surprise. One would think it would have been a "pat on the back" for going above and beyond to see they were safely returned to where they were staying. Including additional passengers not previously scheduled, which were the one's with the 4-wheel drive that ended stuck on their way down with Nate and group. Instead, Nate wanted money back because the winter storm and local authorities caused them to have to walk. The Sweet Pea Tours business did everything, to the extreme, to see that the passengers were taken care of even after they chose to travel with others. The Hot Springs is a spectacular place to experience when visiting Steamboat Springs and it is Sweet Pea Tours hope to make it as relaxing a trip as possible. But sometimes Mother Nature can throw a curve ball.

Your body will thank you for visiting Strawberry Park NATURAL Hot Springs. Unlike some others I've tried, these Springs are NATURAL. You will not come away smelling of chlorine. My skin clears, my body aches vanish, and the Beauty of it all is amazing!

The perfect end to a powder filled day. We had a blast exploring and relaxing under the stars, you just won't want to get out!

Great inexpensive family or couple activity. The road to it though is harsh and they only want 4WD. You can change there, bring your own towels or rent, no lockers so you will have to put your stuff where you can see it.

Firstly, getting there and back. I used The Hot Springs Shuttle ( I understand it's a fairly new alternative to Sweet Pea Tours). These guys take pride in their service and it shows. The road was slippery after the recent snow but both drivers (I had a different one on a way back) were excellent. The vans were great, I get car sick easily and I had no issues on this trip. Most importantly, they are where and when they say they would be, and their website tell you exactly what to expect and what to bring. I would definitely recommend them. Now, the springs: just as all the other reviewers described, natural, beautiful, at night very dark and clothing optional. I left my clothes outside on the chair right at the pool, and man did I feel stupid when I came back and discovered that it was snowed on and everything was wet! So either leave your stuff at the changing place or at least cover it if it's at the pool. It was worth it though cuz where else can you stand in wonderful hot water and feel snowflakes falling on your face. And I was not cold at all the entire time, other than a brief moment between taking my clothes off and getting into the pool. Also, though I was by myself, I felt very safe. It is a must-see if you are in Steamboat, come in during the day for family time and at night if you are not offended by nudity and adult fun.

A word of warning.Don't take the winter warnings about needing four wheel drive with chains lightly. On a Saturday night after about an inch of snow we were stranded at the hot springs because a couple of vehicles (four wheel and all wheel drive vehicles) went into the ditch. They partially blocked the road and caused the Sheriff to temporarily close the road to the hot springs. Make sure you are prepared and dressed well enough to make it down the hill yourself, possibly by walking. Strawberry Hot Springs is woefully prepared to handle anyone stranded by road closures. We previously visited the springs in the summer and decided to use the Sweat Pea Tour shuttles to avoid the hassle of driving up the road ourselves. I would recommend avoiding them at all costs. Despite what they advertise, the Sweat Pea shuttle was unable to make it up the road to pick us up. This wasn't due to the temporary road closure either. The Hot Springs Shuttle was permitted to drive up and pick up their guests. They also rescued as many of the Sweat Pea Tour guests as they could carry, but that still left our group of four stranded. We ended up waiting for two hours at the hot springs before finding a ride down. Unfortunately, they have no heated or covered waiting area so we were forced to wait outside. The only solution the Strawberry Springs employees' solution to stay warm was to go back and sit in the hot springs. During this time we had no communication or reassurance from Sweat Pea that they were doing anything to pick us up. There is no cell phone reception at the springs, so we had to rely on the Strawberry Springs employees to pass us any information. They only informed us that the shuttle would not be able to pick us up and that they were fairly confident that someone at Sweat Pea would still be at the bottom of the hill if we could get there. The best solutions they offered were to walk two miles down to the bottom of the hill or catch a ride with one of the other guests once the road was opened. Once they allowed cars to start going one at a time, the employees very rudely told us to go car to car asking them if they had room to take us down. We eventually found rides among a couple different cars. Unfortunately, at this point one of the vehicles hit one of the previously stuck vehicles on the side of the road and blocked the road entirely. We decided to walk the last half a mile on foot with some other people abandoning their cars instead of waiting for the possibility of tow trucks to clear the road. Luckily, Sandy, the manager of Sweat Pea, was waiting for us at the bottom of the hill. While I am grateful that the manager decided to pick us up personally, the gesture felt hollow when she picked us up in an 1993 rear wheel drive cadillac. Not exactly the vehicle you want to ride in after seeing four wheel drive vehicles in the ditch. While I hope her gesture was genuine, I suspect that she allowed shuttle driver to go home with the shuttle to avoid paying him overtime. I understand a lot of these factors were entirely out of anyones control, but the way this situation was handled by both businesses left a lot to be desired. I called Sweat Pea Tours the next day to talk about the possibility of a partial refund and was berated as soon as I suggested it and then hung up on. This was an unfortunate experience because the hot springs themselves are must see destination. Saturday night had a lot more youthful and energetic crowd that gave the springs a party like, yet relaxing environment.

The drive up is beautiful and the area is clean. The springs were relaxing. It was great to be able to buy some water there and rent a towel given it was extra cold the day we were there. We went first thing which was great because it did get a bit crowded by noon. Advice.

Off the beaten path and worth it. Beautiful serene August sunset into early evening. Nice, can't wait to return.
