Great attraction amusement park. Plenty to do and all included in the fee. The bubble car ride to the top is worth seeing on its own as it affords great views Don't miss it!

This was our second time 4 wheeling here, and they took us a different way this time. Ryan was the excellent guide, went the extra mile with his patience and kindness. This is a wonderful place to go and I know they do a lot of other activities. I can only write about 4 wheeling. Loved every minute of it. Thanks, Ryan

We stayed two nights up on the mountain in the cabins. It was so beautiful, quiet, & relaxing! The ATV tour and horseback riding with the cookout were great too! The guides Ralphie and Bill were very knowledgeable and eager to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The steaks on the cookout were awesome too. We were happy to get away from everything and enjoyed NO TV & electricity. It was a nice change of pace! Thanks for opening your ranch for others to enjoy!

Fun tour, great scenery, and Ralphie was a very knowledgable and entertaining guide. Would highly recommend it!

Ralphie was my guide this morning on the treck up 9,000 ft... Sooooooo much fun and the scenery was breathtaking. The funnest part had to be flying through the mud puddles and getting covered from head to toe!! Awesome!! Ralphie made the adventure all the better...he was fun, knowledgeable, and super cool!!! Would recommend this to anyone. :)

We spent two days at the Bair Ranch on a recent trip to the Vail/Beaver Creek area. Day one was a horseback ride and steak dinner. Thanks to Doris, the matriarch of the ranch we were able to book a group of 9 at the last minute. She called in her daughter-in-law Kimberly to take us out. What a treat. Kimberly was a real cowgirl and she made the trip a blast. Yes, this is a trail ride of sorts, but you do not have to ride nose-to-butt. They let you have a some fun, trotting and cantering through beautiful meadows. The horses are very sweet and responsive. The steak was cooked on an open fire and was great. Everyone in our party had fun. We will be back and will beg for Kimberly again. Day two was an ATV ride throughout the 6,000 acre private ranch. Again, what a blast. Ralphie was our guide. He was a blast. I would ask for him again. We traveled over valleys, along cliffs, through forests, next to creeks and to a vista of over 9,000 feet. The views were great and we were allowed to have fun traveling at fairly high speeds. .We spent three hours with Ralphie and wanted more.

We had a great time this afternoon, my son and I had a great time exploring the trails at Bair Ranch! Andrew was a great guide and very patient with all of us rookies. It was a small group and we were able to take all the time we needed, and got a great history lesson about the ranch and the glenwood springs area, thanks again, and we will be back this winter for the snowmobile tour!

What was advertised on their website was different than what we got.-No TV/ Satelite was not working-No Cell Phone signal-Very far from the main road, at least 5 miles up the dirt road on the hills. Not easily to leave in and out, we were told they are about 12 miles from Glenwood Springs, but we weren't told that our room would be that far from the main road. Do not bring nice car!-We never received the towels we requested,.-The rooms were dusty.-We were up all night because carbon monoxide detector in one of the room with the double kept going off all night. It really beeped all night. We basically just got up and move to the open/fresh air. This was about 12:30am. We really didn't want to drive down in the dark to come find you, but we cannot call anyone because we DID NOT have a cell phone signal. We waited 30 minutes to check out, but nobody was at the front desk, finally we decided to leave and waited min on the bridge to just get out of the property because the gate was broken. The guests in front of us who were visiting from Utah waited 1 and half hour before someone finally came to let us out.Overall, it was not a good experience for us, and the attitude we got when we mentioned all these things made it even worst, "we are not here to try to compete with hotels, so you shouldn't expect the same accommodation" was pretty much what they told us. It may not be the same accommodation, but the friendliness and customer service should be similar. NO?

If you like a challenge and are not terribly afraid of heights you will enjoy this ropes course. I could have done it all day.

Enough to do for a day out with 2 eager boys - alpine run was the best!

First, I would like to tell everyone that this is a family run establishment. It is their home so, if you have expectations that it is something else, this is not the place for you. Come with a warm smile and a mind set that you cannot control the weather and you will have the experience of a life time. The views breathtaking, the people are friendly, and it feels sometimes that you are a million miles from civilization. The horseback rides wind you through the hillside where you can marvel at some of the beautiful sights Colorado has to offer. It rained alot on our horseback ride on the first day but it really didn't matter. We took for what it was worth and rode on. The Bair family met us on top of the hill and cooked us a delosious steak dinner complete with salad, corn on the cob, rolls, potato salad and beverages. I think it may have been same day cow. The next day my wife and I took an ATV adventure. This again, takes you high through the mountains were you can view portions of the continential divide and lush areas of the hill side. Our cabin was very cozy as well. Don't bring your electronics as there is no power. It's camping with a bit of luxury ( a bed and a roof). As you step out of your door in the morning, your greeted by a warm sun and a view that anyone could appreciate. If your in the mood for some real relaxtion, don't worry, they offer a massage sevice. It is top notch. In the end, I didn't want to leave. It was the most relaxing place I think I've ever been. Jason, Kayce, and Verniel are some of the family members that run the place and I must say that their patience and kindness are amazing. They work their butts of to make sure you enjoy your time on the ranch. Be kind and they will be kind back. Keep that in mind when you arrive at their home.

My family and I arrived for a horseback ride on the Bair Ranch. It is a working rance, a lovely spread across the Colorado River from the Interstate. We rode up into the canyon behind the ranch. It was a little more than tail to nose walking, as we trotted a bit, and could spread out in the meadows. We saw a cow elk at the lake at the "top" of our trip. Two hours are just about right for persons unaccustomed to a saddle! The wrangler was friendly but complained about his ailments a bit much. We saw the cabins where you would stay. They are small but in a lovely meadow at the edge of aspen forest, sure to be quiet. We were told you can have weddings there, and there was a hunters' cabin which must be a bunk room, in another location.

We were looking to do an ATV ride while we were in Glenwood- we just so happen to find this ranch. it is absolutely breathtaking!!! And I love the fact that it's family owned and run. The ATV tour was so beautiful!!! We can't wait to come back!!!

Wow. This was an amazing adventure. Although normally the ATVing is in groups, we were the only ones signed up, so one of the ranch owners took us out on the tour. The ATV was in good shape and easy to use (I'm pretty little and not super strong). The trails were just unbelievable, we rode up the mountains and the views were just stunning. We saw mule deer and got to see a working ranch. We felt very much a part of the family while we were there. A huge thunder storm moved in (not uncommon in July) and we made it to the dining area just in time. The steaks were phenomenal, perfectly seasoned and cooked. And sitting under the pavilion and watching the storm from up on the mountain was pretty cool. All in an all, I'd highly recommend this activity, it was fun, exciting, and delicious.

My wife and I along with another friend are recent transplant to the region and decided to take a two hour trail ride and a have a chuckwagon dinner after an afternoon attending an art festival in Vail. When we got to the ranch we were greeted by the open air truck at the gates of the ranch, oh did I mention there was a train idling next to the gate when we arrived? Trippy! We had a great conversation and a ride up to the corals and wranglers room, right off the bat you knew if you were open to honest conversation, you were part of the ranch, treated like family. After a quick video and riding instruction (I am a former mounted police officer) the trail hand "Jason" joined us and reaffirmed that everyone was comfortable with their mount and how to control their horse and off we went. The ride was amazing and intimate and the vistas and views on the trail up the mountain was completely void of modern views. You were at a place where time reversed and if you squinted real hard you could see 1880 looking back at you. Jason the trail boss was a fine young man and our conversation could have been communicated 150 years prior. Hunting, fishing, cattle wrangling and moon light ladies, literally the most relaxed I have been in months. Upon arrival at the top of the mountain Amist the mountain cabin bunk houses and corals we met the chuckwagon that filled the air with the smells of cooking beans and sizzling steaks. A fine meal was had by all ( even a healthy choice for my dieting bride ) we were left to digest alone as the family (ranch owners) bid us a happy goodbye and left us to explore the the mountain top for a bit of down time before a ride back down. After a well appreciated rest we saddled up again as Jason galloped up True Grit style and we enjoyed a great comfortable ride back to the base of the mountain and a relaxed untacking of the horses before we were brought back down to 2011 and our vehicle at the gate with a very gracious staff inviting us back. If I get the hankering to leave the real world behind and have the most relaxing ride and a great time with people that make you feel like part of the family, I'll be back at "High Canyon Adventures" and Bair Ranch!
