Good public course, friendly staff. Lots of elevation changes on a high altitude course. fun. course was in good condition.

Got a discounted tee time online and drove over from Breckenridge. Certainly worth the drive. The weather was perfect, and aspens were turning. Staff was friendly and helpful and the course was in great condition. Course has a driving range and putting green. The starter allowed us (my wife rode along) to start a little early so we were by ourselves. Late September is not to crowded. Once we played through a foursome, we were unrestricted. Played in about 3 to 3-1/2 hours. There are significant elevation drops on tee to green/fairway on several holes, especially on par 3 #10 (listed as 154 feet from tee to green). Par 3s are a lot of fun. One of the tees has an elevation mark around 7800 feet.

Public GC with tees that will suit most handicaps. Wonderful views from many of the tees. Staff was very accomodating. Got our round in right at 4 hours. You won't do that on most public courses.

Great course to play and easy to get to from the Westin.... We play quite a bit of golf while we're there -- nice place to play.

I really like this course, I am a high handicap golfer and this is just fun. There are a lot of elevation changes that I really like. My favorite course.

Nice friendly club with a driving range thats open to the public. $10 for a large bucket. They even give you a cart lift to the range from the pro shop.

This course has gone thru some recent renovations that have helped a lot, but to many blind tee shots into greens that are undulated in weirded ways and the speed of the greens is not consistant. I would recommend it to play 1 or 2 times, but the Vail Valley has too many other great golf courses to spend my time on this funky lay out..

The course was in great condition and the scenery was great. The course was challenging, but the lay-out was a little odd. To get to driving range required a shuttle up and down the hill, so allow enough time. In several places around the holes overlapped carts paths, tee boxes, fairways and greens. The valley is tight and the course design was squeezed to fit the space available. The clubhouse was older but in average condition. The employees were very nice and helpful.

NOT an easy golf course. Very little out of bounds since you actually golf up into the mountains. But our favorite by far and best amenities as well. HIGHLY recommend it for any golfer! Would be our first and last stop if we return.

A full service resort golf club with country club atmosphere from the minute you arrive until you leave. Great layout with a variety of holes from flat and narrow, to water, to outstanding high mountain shots! All you could want for a fabulous round of golf.

One of the best courses in the Vail Valley course is a very nicely laid out track along the eagle river and the lower hills of Beaver Creek. This course is as beautiful as it is player friendly. Fairways are mostly forgiving but a few holes provide the need for precision drives especially from the back tees (white and blue). Green are well maintained and do not conform to the usual break to water or away from the mountains My wife and I enjoy playing together here and find a very friendly and helpful staff. Food is very good at the completion of number 10 par 3.A must for play!

We received first class service at this course. The course was beautiful. A little congested with condos and houses. I am an average golfer and managed to hit two houses. I'd advise yelling "four" whether you think you are going into the woods or not. Some houses are hidden from the T box.

This is a very scenic and challenging course on the west part of the Vail Valley. Has lots of elevation changes between the tee box and greens and is fairly challenging (but fair). With 4 tee boxes most golfers should be able to find a tee box that fits their needs. Several holes parallel the river and we enjoyed seeing rafters going by on one of our trips. We'll definitely go back.

This is a scenic, beautiful Colorado course with lots of elevation changes. The front nine plays like a fairly typical course but the back nine consists of several high tee boxes. Holes 9 and 10 are the signature holes ... No. 10 is shooting 133 yards, if I remember correctly, straight down from a cliff. I used a pitching wedge and shot it at least 20 yards past the hill! It's a fun, but difficult hole to club. Warning: This is a tight, well-maintained course with lots of water and hazards! We lost quite a few golf balls on this course. While my wife and I have not played a lot of golf in the past two years, we enjoyed Eagle Vail. The clubhouse guys could have been a little more welcoming and friendly but they weren't rude either. The starter and outside attendants were great and even accommodated my wife and I to allow us to golf on our own despite being paired with another person for a later tee time.We played on the first day of the Club's "peak season" so prices went up but were still within what we considered reasonable. Prices were $99 per person for 18 holes and a cart (which is required) and $79 per person after 12:30 p.m. I think prices dropped to $59 for twilight golf but you'd want to check with the Eagle Vail to be sure. Carts were affixed with GPS systems which is extremely cool. Probably my biggest complaint is not directed at Eagle Vail but a few fellow golfers. On two different occasions during our four-and-a-half hour round, we had golf carts appear out of nowhere and jump in front of us. While my wife and I are novice golfers, we certainly are not beginners and have played lots of golf in our lives. On the day we played, an attendant told us they were busy that day, and a course marshall told us midway through our round that we were playing 14 minutes ahead of schedule. My point: We were not slowing anyone down. Yet, what I believe to be Club members who lived on the course, just pulled our of their homes, threw a ball down and played ... slowing us down and slightly diminishing our enjoyment of the course.Overall, though, we had a good day at Eagle Vail Golf Club and would recommend it to friends, especially those playing on a weekday when the Club would likely be less busy. It's a pretty course that is challenging yet not too difficult to enjoy.

If you like elevation changes and beautiful vistas, this is the course for you, located right off highway 6 it is very easy to get to and a very enjoyable way to spend 4 and a half hours.
