Best advice to pass along for this course, don't yank out the driver on every par 4/5!!! 190 yards with an iron off the tee box in the fairway is better than 275 in the rough, ESPECIALLY here. The course is tight, but very fun. Some of the best hole variety in the Denver/metro area. Drivable par 4's (300ish), and a course that requires some pre-planning and thought as far as laying up or trying to go for broke and hit the green. Carts are in tip top shape. One of the few courses that has coolers with water and ice out for their players, along with cups, straws, etc. Great deals on golfnow.com/denver as low as $25 for 18 AND cart!!! Greens are very well maintained. Watch out for the 7th hole par 5! Water, water, water....everywhere! Fun course, great staff, and very well paced course.
This course is close to home, so we like to go here to either meet friends to play with or to practice at the hitting range.
Saw "Lucy" and really loved it. The food was good and the seats super comfortable! Try not to fall asleep!!
Very cheap on Golfnow. Very challenging course. Stay in the fairway! Great little course for a city run course, well maintained and avoid the rough.
We played Heather Ridge golf course in Aurora today for the first time (we're from Colorado Springs). We very much had a good time as the course has many interesting holes. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. However, the course is a very old one and is very compact and "crowded" with many holes impinging on each other. I planned to eat breakfast there but the only thing offered was a breakfast burrito. I ate it but didn't think it was too good. The driving range is small and, even worse, you can only hit off mats, something most golfers, of course, detest. But the pace of play was decent and we finished in just over four hours on a busy day. We then went elsewhere for lunch. Heather Ridge would not rank high on my list of golf courses but, since I'd never played there before, I found it interesting. That's the best thing I can say about it. Aurora has many top notch golf courses (Murphy Creek, Saddle Rock, etc.). This is not one of them.
