Plenty of upsides nice beach, modern amenities, pleasant staff, very clean water. Some might think lack of shade is an issue, there are some trees but that space probably fills up fast. Beach can be crowded, for the most part people are friendly. Great for paddle boarding as the water is very calm.

The fishing is very good and if you're into birding, the location is great. It has a $10.00 entrance fee and an annual fee that is close to $48.00. However, if you live near by it is worth doing.

Has a good swim beach. Can get a little busy. Snack bar has great items at low cost. Fishing is pretty good.

Last year I commented on the issue of goose poop on the beach. I don't think the geese have been trained to drop their droppings somewhere else so kudos to whom ever is responsible for cleaning up the beach. Last year I was critical about the condition of the beach so I was pleased to see the beach was very clean this year. As far as the remainder of the park and personnel nothing has changed, all I can say is "Top Shelf." A great place to bring the family.

We had a lovely day at the reservoir. We went to the swim beach which was pretty well maintained and also had lifeguards. There was also a pretty cool little playground next to the swim area. Additionally, there were plenty of shady places to set up a picnic. I recommend trying out the Aurora Reservoir next time you are looking for some fun in the sun and water. Next time we will try out the archery area!

I brought my daughter and her friend out here to enjoy a hot summer day out by the water. I was pleasantly surprised! The swim beach was nice, the paddleboarding and paddle boats were fun and not too expensive! They have a concession stand, playground, lots of sand for sports and lots of picnic areas to bring your own food/drinks. We will definitely be coming back.

Went to kayak for the day. Had to pay $10 admission and $10 to have my kayak inspected. Inspector was not a friendly guy.Would recommend for rentals, but not for using your own equipment unless you live close by or have small children. Takes about 10-15 minutes to paddle across the lake for an adult.

Nice place to escape the City and spend the day on the water boating and fishing, or biking around the lake.Dogs are welcome on leash. Would like to see an off-leash dog area.

The beach at Aur. Res. is the cleanest beach in these parts. Little to no goose poop, really nice white sand, clear water. The kids love it. It has a very nice atmospere with nicely kept grounds and great playground too. Highly recommend for this land-locked state!

good picnic areas, walking & biking paths. Clean. has an amazing amount of birds. scenic. if youre interested, and live in the area, and just want to walk, take the southwest residential route and get in free(walk right thru the gate during reg operating hours

This has to be the cleanest, nicest place to take a bike ride or go kayaking! You can rent the old-fashioned bikes that I used to own (and wish I still did), and you can also rent kayaks here. The place is so clean and the people are so friendly. You can ask them anything. It is quiet and very often you see deer and antelope while you are in the park. Lovely place.

I've been there 3 times and each time I have had a great time. The beach is perfect- it's never too crowded. The rental of the kayaks and boats makes it a great activity for the whole family and the price is decent. You can take in coolers and food and make it a day. Families take grills and tables and chairs so it's roomy and there is something for everyone. If you can go during the weekday you have the place pretty much to yourself.

We visited this little lakeside park on a holiday weekend and found that there was plenty of room for everyone! The park was clean, children were having fun, boats available for rent too! For a fun summer day - kids and adults alike will enjoy this park!
