Granddaughter's first ski lesson. The process from checking in my granddaughter to checking her out was professional, courteous. Had no qualms about leaving her with a very attentive and competent staff. She enjoyed it very much. We (family) did observe the instruction and they are really good at helping each youngster. We will be back.

The instructors are very personable and we have been happy with most of them technically, but despite the high premium price for private lessons, there seems to be a retention issue and we have had a hard time recently getting the same instructor year over year. Once you get to a certain point, it's just reps and there isn't a lot of need for instruction and they are more like all day valets, but they now offer discounts if you sign up for multiple lessons.

My 12yo son took snowboarding lessons from Stephan and Margaret. Friendly, prompt, great communication. I felt very comfortable sending my son for 9a-3:30p lessons. It is expensive, but excellent. You really get what you pay for with this company. Highly recommend. Would definitely use again.

Other ski schools need to take note this place has down to a science. Stephen Brown our ski Instructor was amazing with my kids. Patient and they loved their experience. HIGHLY Recommended program for Private and group lessons

when I was younger my family and I went to Beaver Creek for the first of many visits. The ski school program is most likely top in the country. This ski resort is very family oriented, yet still gives you challenges with glade skiing and mogul runs. Very good over all.

Ask for Dave Johnson as your instructor. Has been there 7 years and really does a good job with students.

Our kids, ages 9 and 7, were beginner skiers but needed a lesson while skiing out west. The school was a great experience. Friendly and knowledgeable instructors. They learned a lot in one day and seemed to really enjoy it.

All the kids that were with our group took lessons for skiing and snowboarding. They all loved it and could ski/snowboard after just one day lesson. Ages ranged from 3 years old to 14 years old.

I arranged ski lessons for my children (12 and 14) for the eight time. There is an instructor, Ivan Karachovanov, who has taught them for four years. He is excellent!!This year they reached double diamond level. Ivan is kind, patient, upbeat and energetic. With his guidance they excelled. We already scheduled for next December.

My wife suffered a brain tumor whose removal left her totally deaf in her right ear and with a serious balance issue. Since she is deaf on one side, it is close to impossible for her to determine exactly where sounds come from. When she skis, and turns to find the source of the sounds around her, her balance issue often results in her just falling over. Last month, when we went to Vail, she inquired about and was accepted to the Adaptive Program of the Ski & Snowboard School at Beaver Creek (Vail). She asked for a 'buddy' who she could 'follow' down the mountain so that she would not have to deal with sounds around her. The Ski School gave her a gift: Ben Donnelly. When she first met Ben, he asked what her goals were and she told him that she wanted to ski a 'Blue' by the end of the week. He asked her if having fun was also part of her goals. What an interesting perspective! With Ben's gentle directions, she skied 'Blue' the first day and a Black Diamond on the last day. What an incredible difference Ben was in urging her to just enjoy and feel the soul of the mountain. He was solicitous of her weaknesses and allowed her to make them strengths. At one point, when it was heavily snowing, Ben threw up his hands with enthusiasm and yelled, "I live in a snow globe!" What an amazing energy and teaching technique.Congratulations to the Ski & Snowboard School at Beaver Creek (Vail) for having such a gifted and qualified (a degree in Outdoor Education) instructor and for making my wife's ski experience more than she could have ever imagined. Well done!

I had only tried skiing one time before, so I was really worried about getting hurt. I decided to take a half day all ladies ski class and it was great! For $165 it includes a lift pass for the day. By the end of the day I was confident skiing and most importantly, was able to ski with the other members of my party. I was off the bunny slope in 3 hr! This is a may do for any new skier or if it's been a year.

My instructor, Jill, was fantastic. She knew what she was doing and gave great feedback. Within the first hour, I was more comfortable and skiing better.I was not thrilled with the long check-in process at the office (over half an hour) but expected it since we were at the resort over a holiday. The school needs to rethink the skill assessment process that they use to group students and to reconsider the maximum group size. I was put into a group of 8 students and some of the students were far ahead of others in terms of skill. This resulted in a single three hour trip down the mountain because the less skilled people were side stepping nearly the entire way. While I was thrilled with the opportunity to ski down the mountain and to get Jill's advice/feedback, I felt that my time was largely wasted on this full day lesson.

my instructor was so mean and every time she gave instructions and I said ok she yelled at me and told me not to say ok. The rest was very difficult How do you communicate when you can't say ok. A waste of time and money. Never use beaver creek school again. Couldn't wait for it to end and didn't learn anything. Should have asked for a refund

My husband and daughter both took lessons here last week. My daughter's instructor was Mother T and she was so great. She had so much knowledge and a great teaching style, my daughter came away with a very positive experience. My husband took a group snowboard lesson and also enjoyed it a lot. They are so well staffed and virtually log all your progress which you can access online. Great place to learn!

I really wish tripadvisor has ratings levels which beyond "Excellent", cause I cannot say enough good things about this school!Jock (hopefully I spelled the nick name correct) was our coach, he is such a funny, informative, nice, sometimes tough, wonderful guy! We have 4 people in our group, at first we were just beginners who merely could finish the "pizza" position, after three day's training, we dare to take the steep slope and SMILE while skiing, all thanks to his fantastic coaching. We learned the basic at first, he took us to the "magic carpet" to practice what we've learned. At last, we could easily skiing on the mountains, and at last, Jock went over the lesson time to take us to ski on a very beautiful trail, the view was gorgeous! For adult students like us who seldom ski before, it is more difficult than for 3-6 years old kids, cause we have fear in our heart and we're afraid to fall, Jock always tell us stories and try to cheer us up, we make some stops to enjoy the beautiful view the nature has offered.I definitely recommend the school and the coach we had!
