beacon glades disc golf course

This is my local course and I love to play it..There are no bathrooms, so go before / after you get there..Lots of fun - hope you enjoy..

This course was built by disc golf enthusiasts a few years ago and continues to be improved by "members" of the course (locals who play regularly). You can play with regular frisbees if you like, but disc golf is a sport that uses specific discs made for the game. The Mountaintop Sports shop in Beacon sells disc golf discs if you are in Beacon and want to play the course. It takes a group of 4 players at least 2 hours to play 18 holes, and since the course is mostly wooded, be prepared to search for lost discs. Presently, all the holes are par 3's, but a few are very difficult to par, even for experienced players. There is a doubles tournament (random teams of two players, each player throws and the best throw is used) every Wednesday evening (~6pm) during the summer. It's located just a few blocks south of the Mount Beacon hiking trail/stairs parking lot. And if you are a beginner, please allow faster players to play through (thanks!).
