We chose this place because it was the only place still available at the last minute that was on the water in the Thousand Islands Region. It was a very nice place to stay given the following:(1) Beautiful waterfront campsites and views. Even if you weren't doing tent camping, which provided you with the sites right on the water, you could still see the river.(2) Quiet. This was the quietest campsite I've ever stayed at because it is so small. It is a little out of the way and doesn't really cater to families so there aren't tons of people here. I actually took my air mattress out of my tent and just slept by the water when I felt like taking a nap. Now, why wouldn't you want to stay here?(1) You have kids. There is one "playground" area which is kind of old and beat-up. There is nothing else really to do around the campsite or at the campsite.(2) You need more access to stuff. We were a bit of a drive from stores and attractions. Not only that but we had come back from doing something and stopped at the camp office before five (to buy ice/wood---we figure we'd support the park) only to find that they were already closed for the day. Bottom line? This is a place for those who just want the peace and quiet of being out by the St. Lawrence River. If you have everything you need with you on hand and don't plan on running around to different places all day, this is the spot for you.
