niagara hobby and craft mart

a very nice, complete railroad shop, and while it seems to lack the "wonder" of the typical train show (see movie, "The Station Agent," you certainly can find what you want here, even if it doesn't have to do with Thomas the Tank... helpful, friendly staff

Went to Niagara Hobby to find a dollhouse miniature gift when Mother Nature decided to let loose (yes, the lights were even flickering!) No worries, however. We'd been here many times before and took the time to just browse. Of course we had to push all the buttons for the model railroading display -trains, lights, moving things.... Arts and crafts "stuff," toys and puzzles, slot car track, and all sorts of hobby necessities (even rock pics). They have a caboose you can visit in the parking lot. The staff is cheerful and extremely helpful. There is a clean unisex restroom (don't worry - one at a time). There was even some kind of role-playing(I think) game going on in the back. All-in-all, Niagara Hobby was a good place to wait out the storm.
