watson's chocolates

This was a nice shop to stop in for a little treat. I've been to other chocolate shops and this one was a little pricey, but there items were delicious. I've never heard of sponge candy and I loved it! Gotta love a place where you can buy chocolate covered marshmallows and Oreos.

We ended up here after researching various attractions in Ellicottville. I don't really consider stores like this an activity or attraction. If so there should be more stores listed in this area than shopping as activities which have some more unusual items for sale.Store is relatively small, and the selection is not huge. There were only 4 other people in the store and they were part of a group. We only had to wait a couple of minutes, but the store clerk immediately asked us if she could help although we had not yet decided what we wanted.This is a chocolate store, with a little bit of candy. I'm not one for rating stores, and found this particular one average at best. I have been to bigger ones with more selection, and for me chocolate is chocolate and places like this are expensive. It cost almost 5 dollar for 6 little pieces of chocolate which is more than I would spend, but the girlfriend likes going to places like this to find her Orange Cream and if she can then she is happy. There are a couple of different shaped ones. The chocolate wings was interesting, and they also have some fudge if you are interested but again, with a very small selection.

I stop at Watson's most times when I go to Eville for dinner. Awesome candy, The best Sponge candy there is.

We stopped in Ellicottville for a lunch break as we headed south from Niagara Falls on US 219. After eating a sandwich, we went into Watson's to grab a couple of chocolates for dessert to eat as we walked back to the car, specifically chocolate covered marshmallows (covered with dark chocolate). We had barely taken two steps from the shop before we realized that we simply had to go back to get more. These were as good as any chocolate covered marshmallows we could remember. The dark chocolate covering had a good, rich flavor with no off tastes or after tastes. The marshmallow filling was just right. Definitely a chocolate treat to savor.JeffandElaine

Walked in after dinner thinking we were stuffed. That changed in a moment at the aroma of the fresh chocolates and treats inside. Prices are on target for a specialty chocolate shop. The sponge candy is different than I expected. After purchasing nearly $20 worth, it is totally worth it! A great little shop that is sure to please.

Had sampled the candy from this specialty shop. The sponge candy was very good. Chocolate selection is excellent.

My wife and I stopped in Watson's on the advice of an Ellicottville local. The store is located centrally within the town and is nicely decorated. I was surprised to find Godiva style chocolate in a wide variety at such low cost. My wife decided on "one of each". The girl working the counter was less than enthused, but this was at the end of a rainy day. The chocolate was superb, so I could forgive the attitude. I'm not a candy eater, but these were great eating. By the second day, all the little chocolates were gone. This is a great place to visit before or after the local winery.

My husband, his sister & brother-in-law visited Ellicottville, NY last month, and found the neatest chocolate shop on the main drag. Watson's has WONDERFUL sweets - customers come from miles around to buy the treats. They even have carob flavored treats for your canine friends! We can't say enough about the quality of their product. You've GOT to try some of their sweets real soon!!!

I love the town of Ellicottville. It is great in all seasons. Walking the streets and shopping will make any woman happy. I earned many brownie points when I suggested we stop at Watson's Chocolates. All the women loved it. It is within walking distance to the Winery at Ellicottville, the local Brewery and so much more. Worth the stop if you like chocolate or candy.
