One of the best race tracks in the states.Me and my family been to many race tracks around the world and belmont is one of the best tracks there is.Defintly will go back.

Belmont Race Track has over 400 acres of mostly beautifully sculpted grounds. The landscape is something to behold. The Clubhouse restaurant has great tasting food. It is a great experience to see the horses up close & personal as they are walked by the Paddock area. Being the 'last leg' of the Triple Crown races, Belmont Stakes Day is the most exciting times and something everyone should experience, at least once, even if you're not a gambler!

The lineup to the women's washroom was 1.5 hours long. Even though we bought seats, we couldn't see the race due to people standing on chairs in front of us with security guards standing right there. We bought parking tickets and still had to argue with the attendant to let us through. We missed the first two races because of it. I would not attend again. I would go to Lake Tahoe and watch it on TV.

I have been to Belmont Park twice recently. Once was for a friend's birthday party. They were able to rent a small picnic area near the track. It was so much fun. You bring in your own food or caterer and you have a trackside vantage point for the races. The other time I was there recently was for a pre-Belmont Stakes luncheon. This was in a very nice restaurant above the grandstand. The food was a buffet and it was delicious. When the races started we were able to walk outdoors to watch or to stay inside and watch on the many television screens available. This is not an area for children, but the outside area and picnic grounds are great for the kids. They get to see the horses close up and it's a lot of fun.

Belmont park is an oasis in the sprawling suburbs of NYC. You don't have to be a horse racing fan to enjoy this place ! . The grounds are perfectly manicured . They have a picnic area with barbeques and lots of shade . The grandstand is classic ny architecture . They are kept clean , but hey this is a racetrack , so I wouldn't eat my hotdog if I dropped it !

The last Saturday of September, they have an event called Super Saturday. The race card features five Grade 1 races, which are the very highest level. There's also a Grade 2 race, and two maiden races for 2 year olds, which will be the best horses of next year.This year was extra special with the retirement of long-time track announcer, Tom Durkin. We got a Tom Durkin bobblehead, then met him later for pictures and an autograph. The day also featured the food trucks giving you endless meal options, mac n cheese, hibachi, bbq, grilled cheese, crepes, Italian food, Italian ice, etc.The track, the grandstand, the clubhouse are all huge, so there's lots of room for people to move around and get a good spot to watch the races. There's tiered spaces around the paddock so that more people can stand around the paddock to see the horses. The grassy area behind the grandstand is called the backyard, and people bring their families and picnic there. The ivy grows up the building and the trees and grass make it a beautiful area.Looking at the racetrack, you're in awe of the sheer size of the track. There's a sea of green in the infield with lots of grass, trees, and hedges. The great Ruffian is buried just past the finish line, with a beautiful hedge around her grave marker. Secretariat is honored with a statue in the center of the paddock, as well as a pole marking his 31 length victory on the racetrack.The weather was as gorgeous as the horses. The racing was exciting. The facilities were fantastic. Everything about it was truly Super Saturday!

The Belmont is one of the great race tracks this country has to offer. A few of us came out here for the Belmont Stakes, and although California Chrome did not come through, it was a great day. Belmont Stakes day is unusual though, in how crowded it can be. That was the one downside of the day; too many people. However, this was not a big deal in the track, but was extremely problematic when trying to leave. Aside from that, Belmont Park is a beautiful place and a great track to watch racing. Given all the history of the place (Secretariat streaking to the Triple Crown by 31 lengths), this is one place every racing enthusiast needs to visit. All of the giants of the sport have performed here, and walking along the grounds brings chills just to think of all the history that has taken place at the track. I highly recommend a visit to Belmont Park; however, if you are not a fan of big crowds, go on a day not showcasing the Belmont Stakes.

We all wanted California Chrome to win the triple crown this year. The feeling of being in this huge event with nearly 100 000 people is waoooo. Want to come back. The installations are asome. Nice race track for the real race fan.

Belmont Park is an interesting racetrack and historic. There is a great deal to see and do. The backyard is a fun place to hang out. The track views are amazing from the stands. Seating is reasonably priced (unless you went for the Triple Crown Race). We sat in the second tier of the grandstand just down from the finish line. You have a very good view of the entire track and of the races. If you sit in rows L and up you have a better view of the last turn. I have been here for the Triple Crown and it is nuts. Expect long waits for everything. The trains to and from the track are fine on most days, except the Triple Crown race. They cannot handle the crowds.

Was hoping to see a Triple Crown Champion! No such luck! Had a great day in the Garden Terrace. The buffet was very good and always well stocked. The staff was friendly even with it being incredibly busy. My only complaint was in trying to get out of the parking area, took way to long!

Belmont Park is a very nice place to spend a day betting on and watching the horses run. A great place for a family day outing, there is a picnic area where you can bring in food (No BBQ's or Sterno allowed) and drinks (Cans and Plastic Bottles Only No Glass). There are TV screens simulcasting live racing located all around the picnic area. You can view the horses in the paddock area before every race then go in and stand at the rail to watch them cross the finish line.Belmont Racetracks Spring/Summer schedule starts the first week of May and ends the second week in July (Racing moves to Saratoga NY) The Fall schedule starts after Labor Day and ends the last weekend in October.Check out the parks website www.nyra.com/belmont for all info

Native New Yorker, living in North Carolina for the past 30 years, I was so looking forward to a weekend trip centered around the Belmont Stakes and Brooklyn. Stayed at the Brooklyn Marriott a long walk or short subway ride from the LIRR train to the track---Deliberately chose to take the noon train to get to the track "after the rush." What a horrible experience on the LIRR--------the Jamaica train change was out and out dangerous as the platform did not hold all of the folks waiting to meet the train from Penn Station to what should have been the 15 minute trip to the track to arrive for the third race-----Train was packed as if it were rush hour on a Monday morning in the subway-totally unpleasant-unnecessarily so--- and it took almost 30 minutes of crawl to finally arriveatBelmont---but that wasn't the worst part of getting there---the WORST part of the trip to the track was that when the train arrived at the track----one out of only two of the staircases/escalators was out of order---causing platform backups for the folks trying to leave the train and cross over to the entrance to the track; Then --while getting into the track was not difficult with prepaid tickets, we had to wait on a line 30 or 40 people deep just to buy a program from the ONE vendor--needless to say, we missed the third race; but missing the third race wasn't the WORST part of the day at the track-----the tellers/cashiers were so overwhelmed and the crowd so slow in communicating their bets that I was locked out of betting on 3 of the next 8 races-even though I got into the betting lines 10-20 minutes before the starting time for the races----unbelievable. Add to that that the $130 cost for reserved seats midway in the stretch was exorbitant for NO amenities---the promised buffet behind the seats was out of food by the fifth race; the ushers were totally ineffective in keeping the seats secure from non paying fans who just pushed their way in; the usual beautiful grounds covered in wall to wall people--the too few beer and food vendors, etc. Things were so disappointing and our fear of being stuck at the track until midnight given the LIRR's disinterested effort in providing enough trains for the crowd led us to leave AFTER placing our bets for the Belmont Stakes but before the actual running of the race. I was there last in 1973 for Secretariat's incredible victory--the crowd that day was likely as large as this year's crowd-but everything that day--from the LIRR to the experience at the track and back home was so much better, that it was a great experience. What a shame. A great racetrack with a wonderful history falls absolutely flat on its biggest day--now just another "back in the day" memory..

Belmont Park is the biggest U.S. horseracing course, that is a great place to visit for an avid horseracing fan. I would suggest staying away when there is a chance for a triple crown winner as I was there this year to see California Chrome disappoint and Belmont disappoint too. They over charge on everything including raising the clubhouse price and cutting half the clubhouse off unless you had a special badge. Belmont stakes they don't let you bring in any beverages so your sucked into paying there prices. Want to see a big time race on a Saturday, wait til Saratoga opens at the end of July.

Went to Belmont for the Belmont Stakes. Great day of racing, one of the best I have seen. The track was packed and you could tell they were not exactly prepared. Women choosing to use men's room to avoid line for ladies. Concession stands ran out of beer and hot dogs. Do not take credit cards at the concession stands. Video technology in betting areas straight out of 1978... Outside of the poor fan experience in these areas, the racing and grandstand seating was excellent. 3 stars due to logistical issues due to crowd. The bus parking lot was the most expensive on the grounds and the hardest to get out of.

Had a great time at the track for the race but getting to and from the track was a nightmare. Walkway to the train was falling apart so we had to walk a long way around to get to the train. Mass confusion! They tell you to not rush to leave after the race but they ran out of food and drinks and vendors all shut down. There was nothing to do but leave. They did a terrible job of controlling the trash and of course the ladies rooms had miles of lines. I know it was an exceptionally large crowd but if your going to allow that many people into the facility, you need to be prepared to handle them.Our tickets were for the top of the stretch picnic area and from what I can see, it's the only place to be! We had lots of room didn't have the masses on top of us but getting out to get food and drinks was difficult maneuvering through all the people and garbage. Would go again, but probably not for a triple crown race.
