green meadows farm

I have been to Green Meadows Farm many times. It was fun to see the kids ride a pony. some of the kids never saw a horse and thought it was wonderful. The thing that I liked about the farm was the kids had hands on for most of the animals. They are allowed to go into the pens and feed or touch the animal of their choise. I didn't like the fact that they had to see a cow tied up so the kids can milk it. One little boy thought the cow did some thing bad and was being punished. I know its for the safety of the children but it looks so strange for a cow to be tied up. The rest of the day went fine. The kids loved the hay ride, They also loved eating their lunch outside under the big tent. The day ended with each child picking their best pumpkin. We had a fun day.

I have been here a few times with my class on school trips. It's always overcrowded and hectic. The animals look sad and children are allowed to man handle them. The cow is chained up. The pigs are in a VERY small pen with a horrible odor.
