We stopped in here after making a bank deposit and deciding to walk through the village and explore a little bit. It was located right next to a park which we had intended to go back and check out since it was right next to the creek, but never did get back there. Since it had just started to rain a little, figured this was a perfect opportunity to go inside and stay dry. Glad we did.Location is somewhat small, but easy to find. The clerk was in the back doing some work, but promptly came and greeted us after we walked in.The service was great. After greeting us we asked some questions about the tour, and the tastings. Told her we were from out of town and why we had stopped in. She did the pre-requisite ask us what type of wines we normally drink to get an idea of what we might want to sample. It is $3 for 5 samples although she didn't end up making us pay for those, not entirely sure why. We did do quite a bit of chatting and socializing while we sampled, and she suggested a restaurant for us to go to when we finished. Did end up buying only one bottle of the first wine we sampled. An unusual coconut lime wine that had a very good flavor, and would likely have bought more had we not been going back across the border and already exceed our limit.Gave us lots of information about other activities we were considering, in addition to lots of information about the winery and their history. Although they do tours, she said that there isn't much to see as it is a small local winery that doesn't produce any of it's own grapes.
This winery is a wonderful place to visit. The owner is usually there and is very knowledgeable. The wines are reasonably priced and delicious. There is quite a selection of wines made from grapes from various vineyards all over the world...hence the name. The owner did a wine tasting for our womens' group a few yeas ago and it was very successful.
My husband and I have been to many wineries in the past few years. We recently visited Ten Thousand Vines and dicovered quite a treat. We had purchased an excellent Groupon deal for wine tasting for 2, and $30 worth of wine or merchandise, for only $15. Unlike any other winery tasting we've done, they allowed us to select 6 each of ANY wine they sell, and poured enough so you can actually take a couple of drinks to be sure of the taste. Best of all, we found each and every wine to have a completely different and distinctive taste. The reason for this, they don't grow their own grapes. They import juices from all over the world to create a wonderful variety of wines. A+ for a being different. Our only con, was that we couldn't decide which ones to purchase, we loved them all!
