They bring in the best shows for the summer season and I can't wait until they open up their winter location downtown Cortland. The shows rock! Awesome job and it's so easy to get caught up in the shows. I love the Pavilion location on the lake but being downtown will give us the opportunity for dinner and a show!
Cortland Repertory Theater is such a wonderful place to enjoy theater on a summer evening. As a local supporter I am always blown away by what they are able to accomplish in a small venue. Since the theater becomes more and more packed every season, the talent that they are able to secure has become very obvious. Outstanding singers as well as actors. Sound and set designers are also the best available. Les Mis this season was absolutely breathtaking!Kerby has a vision that is being met, and CRT is very lucky to have him at the helm. They are currently in the process of opening their new building in downtown Cortland to fall, winter, and spring theater performances. It will expand horizons. The sky is definitely NOT the limit for this incredible theater group. Keep up the fantastic work!!
The family had an excellent time attending Les Mis last month. The cast and crew were professional and passionate, and in a show like Les Mis with continuous set and costume changes, we were all impressed. We certainly hope that the funds raised will help CRT become a year round operation.
First rate professional productions in a small theater where everyone has a great seat. You are up close to the action and the actors. All of the actors and production team are top professionals, along with some new rising stars from the country's top musical theatre programs. If you are in the Finger Lakes region, this is a don't miss. Enjoy pre-theater dinner in Cortland or the Village of Homer, enjoy the beautiful park and lake before the show, and don't forget to try one of the show themed cookies! Look for year round productions starting soon in their downtown Cortland location.
while the performances are universally fine in a succession of musicals and light plays during the summertime, it's the setting that brings down the house in this somewhat circular hall in a magnificently rustic park just north of Cortland... never disappoints... wish we could expand summer...
Top notch, ultra professional, varied productions are what I've been seeing for over a dozen years. Yes, I love this beautiful place so much, I am now usheretting! It's located way out in the country at Little York Lake. What a beautiful setting for this octagon shaped, old building which has been in use for so many years for so many things. The theater part is upstairs. I can't say enough about these plays and how they are run. Everything is smooth and flawless. So impressive. Always a great variety to please everyone. The last play I attended there was sold out and this happens quite often. http://www.cortlandrep.org/ Check out this year's (and past years') lineups. They do have one production just for kids. This year: Puss N'Boots. And I'm going anyway!
