food , staff , atmosphere, view truly a grand place to be for any important event in your life and the gardens and golf course are lovely you wont be disappointed

The décor and atmosphere is really nice and the food is good. The service is also good and the large ballroom is great for parties and company gatherings.

- 5 Hours 10 minutes to play 18 this past Sunday- No on course Ranger to move things along- Good Conditions and layout- GC Staff can wear jeans but golfers cannot- They need to fix the pace of play. Take a note from Smith Richardson in CT. There the ranger goes by 3X on the front and 3X on the back. If a group is behind it doesn't last long.

We have been here for several special occasions ( Graduation parties, Engagement parties). The food has always been delicious .

Good value for a good course. It's not a long course but it is challenging. Fun to play and in good shape.

This weekend, my destination was a course I’d played once before, but wanted to give another try. I first played Putnam County Golf Course last February on one of the first days of the season. After an unseasonably short winter, they opened the course very early to anyone crazy enough to go out, and I of course was one of the first out. The course was very bare then, so I decided to reserve judgment until now when it was a little more grown in.Putnam County GC is a William F. Mitchell designed 18 hole course that can be found about 10 minutes of off the Taconic State Parkway in Mahopac, New York. It was a private club from its opening in 1959 up until 2004 when Putnam County purchased it and made it municipal.
