We wandered into this vineyard and were very please with the experience. I particularly like the 87 South.
I found this is the most beautiful place to hold any type of occasion you can imagin, from weddings, baby showers, engagements, birthdays, fund raisers, or just to visit...meet new and interesting people in general. Spend a nice family day outside on the lawn, just so many possibilities. The wine and snacks are a delight.
This was a nice winery, with a huge fire pit outside, lots of tables inside where you could buy a glass of wine and stay to enjoy it, and a nice selection of wines. We liked the Rabbit's Foot red, which is just a nice, easy drinking wine.
Wine was good, especially the chardonnay and the cab. This is from a wine aficionado. Buy some wine, bring sone cheese and glasses, sit out on the porch, and enjoy the magnificent day. The tastings are $ 10 each. There is plenty for the kids to do. But, the best is just a relaxing day with wine, friends and food. This is set up VERY WELL!
Seriously the wine should be the most memorable part of our visit and while it was good the view is really awesome. When we arrived there was a table of 3 couples sitting atop a hill around a picnic table having lunch (brought their own) and you felt as though you were in Tuscany. The tasting room is small but quaint with a nice bar to sit and relax and enjoy your tasting. I was amazed at the number of plants in the vineyards as other vineyards in the area didn't boast as many. It was nice to be able to get up close and personal to the vineyards and expand your visit beyond the tasting. Definitely worth going and be sure to pack a lunch and take advantage of the views. You won't be disappointed.
Family owner and run. They have beautiful grounds and a huge fire pit outside. Many picnic tables. They have bands play there on Saturdays and Sundays Spring, Summer and Autumn. A large outdoor deck. The wine bar inside serves all if their wines. My favorite was I-87 North, a fruity white. They also sell cheeses and crackers and other wine friendly snack but you can totally bring your own snacks and foods. It's as family-friendly as you can get being a winery. Definitely a great weekend getaway.
Great experience. Wines were varied and excellent. Servers were knowledgable and friendly. Lots of space, both indoors and out. And beautiful views. We've been to quite a few wineries in upstate NY area. This is probably my favorite. Fun atmosphere but not too crazy. The wines were some of the best we've tasted. Highly recommend.
We have found this to be one of the nicer tasting experiences in the area. The staff are friendly and take pride in their wine. The wines offered cover a good range of both whites and reds and varying degrees of dryness. While we prefer the big, California reds, we find the dry white wines produced by the Robibero Vineyards to be very easy drinking. Overall, a great tasting experience and a nice price point for a good, quality wine. A fun place to stop and nice tasting experience.
It is not far from the pine bush house...they have such a nice variety of wine and they give you a beautiful view of the mountains..they serve wine by the glass and bottle they have a great variety for tasting and they have cheese and other picky food to eat before you lrave!
We had our first time at the Robibero Vineyards for the 4th July weekend, fireworks on 5th where kids could play on relax. We took our blanket, chairs and spent the day. Me and my husband did the wine tasting - so good, my favorite is the Habbit's foot, And of course the Merlot, Syrah, Riesling and New Yorkie Rose on the light side is very good as well - we had some roast marshmallows on fire by the end of the night and they also had live music during the day. I can't wait to come back for another wonderful time in this Vineyard in New Palz :-).
Nice facility for tasting. Beautiful deck to relax on. Our host indicated they have only been making wine since 2010. So far so good. A little on the pricey side.
Beautiful scenery! Delicious wine! Friendly people! What more can you ask for? We had a great time tasting wine; 5 samples for $8. The whites are especially good! We brought cheese, crackers, and various meats with us and hung out at the deck picnic table. As we enjoyed our wine and food, there was live music to listen to. Later on the fire pit on the grounds was lit and everyone gathered
This is one of three Shawangunk Trail wineries my bf and I visited over a winter weekend. If you find "Wine Takes the B**** Out of Me" T-shirts amusing, then this is the place for you. (There's even a wine with b**** in the name.) The man conducting the tastings was very friendly, but his patter was canned and cheesy. (He was also finishing his lunch as he poured.) You're given a small bag of crackers, and if you want water, you have to buy it. A shame, since some of the wines are pretty good. There's plenty of parking and lots of seating, indoors and out. I can see how it might be appealing to picnic there on a balmy day; the place seems very geared toward socializing. But our priority is the wine itself, and we vastly preferred Benmarl and Whitecliff for the overall quality of their product as well as their passionate and knowledgeable staff.
Can cupcakes be paired to wines? Absolutely. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wines (especially the whites, which made sense when we learned that some of the grapes are from up north; Finger Lakes.)
We escaped the winter doldrums by attending the vineyard's Sweet and Sinful Revenge Cupcake and Wine Pairing event. The winery is located atop a hill with an amazing view.. There is a lot for customers to park and a short walk to the winery. Although too cold to enjoy, the winery features a lovely deck and outside fire pit. The staff was friendly and most accommodating. We enjoyed the wines we sampled and loved the cupcakes supplied by the Moxie Bakery located in New Paltz. We applaud their animal friendly policy; well behaved dogs are welcome and their own little mascot made a brief appearance. The customer area is spacious with a tasting bar located in the front and an area for sitting near the deck. If there was a down side it was the acoustics. Even though not packed, the noise level was high and the music they were playing (a lot of Elvis) was tinny and too loud. A small family operation, they have yet to develop a large repertoire of wines. The ones they had showed promise, especially the Cabernet. We particularly enjoyed the Serendipity, a Seyval Blanc/Chardonnay Blend. Although they have vineyards planted it appears that the wines are produced from grapes sourced from throughout New York State. One can purchase wine at the winery (or through their website) and there are an assortment of food items, gifts, t- shirts and accessories also available for sale. This was a sweet little detour. the location was lovely, the people pleasant, the wine good and the cupcakes unbelievably delicious. We look forward to visiting again.
