Local restaurant. Food is pretty good. Good wait staff. Pleasant place for a casual dinner. Shorts & a t-shirt are fine.

I've purchased their beer in upstate NY and liked it quite a lot. Stopped into the tasting room in Patchogue, NY. Got the standard three free tastes (3-4 oz each) plus an extra one for no charge. Nice little bar. Very reasonable prices. Even bought a nice t-shirt for $15. Worth a stop.

After the recent news of the sale of their company, the brewery has received quite a bit of negative backlash. I visited for the first time after the news and was able to go on one of their FREE tours. The brewery offers three free samples of whatever beer you would like (2-3 oz). Most of the beer you see on tap at outside venues (Toasted Lager, etc) isn't anything special. However, they do produce some very good limited release beer. The No Apologies DPIA or the Bourbon Barrel Aged Sour Cherry Imperial Stout are about as good as you can get at a top brewery. The staff are very friendly and were very open about answering questions on the buyout. They currently only rent their space and are trying to get more room for barrel projects. The potential is there to increase distribution of some of these beers to places they have never been and have the financial ability to grow...not to mention better wages and healthcare for all their employees.

What can I say about my home town brew. Blue Point is simply awesome. In the spirit of Sam Adams and other batch brewers, Blue Point has a great following, loyal fans and consistent flavors.I recently traveled to Brussels Belgium and tastes some of the worlds best beers. I can say with certainty that Blue Points Toasted Lager would stack up against them.Come to Patchouge and have a pint or two... but don't drink and drive!

This brewery has some of the best beer on Long Island. Long known for the favorite - Toasted Lager, they have added some equally delicious, such as Summer Ale, Hoptical Illusion and many others. Stop by the tasting room (check for hours open) and enjoy terrific beer. You can purchase six packs, cases or growlers. If you like GOOD beer, you will not be disappointed.

We have tasted their beer from the supermarket and was so good we wanted to check out the tasting room. We took a great tour of the brewery run by Michelle who was soooo much fun! We learned all about the history and how the brewery was run and the beer was made. Got to taste five different beers on the tour also before they were even tapped. Also included in the tour we got three different tastings from the bar, a cool pilsner glass filled with the beer of our choice and a free growler for the road! Great tasting beer, great staff, great time!!! Our fav beer was the old dirty bast***. Sorry trip advisor would not let me spell it out LOL!

a great local brewery, I wasn't a beer drinker till I tried this place-I have tried several different flavors- I personally like the Blueberry Ale, the Pumpkin ale wasn't bad either- but only in season. The place is located in a residential area- so if you drive to fast- you might miss it. Dress code was very relaxed. The noise level was pretty good-I could hear others talk.

Here's a microbrewery that started up a little over 10yrs ago.owned by 2 guys that love beer, every story starts out that way. They started when microbrewing was in it's infancy. When other breweries tried and failed. What's different is the way they did it. They used equipt. from failed breweries, paid pennies on the dollar. You may say great, what does that mean? It means instead of mortgaging themselves into hole too deep, they were able to buy the best ingredients and combine it with their expert knowledge of brewing the best beer on the planet. You may say that is a mighty big claim, but walk in and look at the east wall in the tasting room. It's loaded with an array of medals for multiple types of beer that they brew on premises, that they have won all over the world, yes, I said the WORLD. They have won "Best Brewery on Long Island" 3 or 4 yrs. running. They have made brewing beer look so easy there are at least 7 other breweries that have popped up on Long Island trying to imitate, but none compare in fact, when the dust settles Blue Point Brewing Co. Will be one of the few that will remain. They were the 1st at what they do on LI. and also the best.

My husband and I have been to several breweries throughout New England, NY, NJ and PA - was a bit disappointed in Blue Point. Their toasted lager is one of my favorite beers. We stopped by here on our way to see friends in Long Island. Sadly it was kind of a let down. We didn't do the tour, but we went up to the bar for a drink. Felt more like a grungy dive bar in the middle of no where. It was incredibly dark, cold and dreary. Beer was good and cheap though! Low as $4 for a pint.

A friend hosted a girls weekend in Bayport recently. We visited the Blue Point Brewery for a late Saturday afternoon tasting after a fun day of hiking at the beach. When we arrived the tasting room was rocking and the party had spilled out into their back parking lot where they had BBQ and a beer garden set up. We all had pints of various microbrews. I loved the White IPA. We took our beers and headed out back where we met some great guys who gave us an impromptu tour of the brewery. It was super fun to learn about the way they brew different microbrews. These folks put a lot of love into their brews! They also shared that another brewery on Long Island had recently been shut down by Sandy flooding and sounds like the insurance company will not pay since it was allegedly not a "hurricane" WHAT???. The folks at BPB and other brewers are going to create a special Microbrew to benefit their colleagues so they can re-launch. I am also hopeful the insurance company will come to their senses and do the right thing. Great to see neighbors helping each other out. I am a Seattle girl and enjoy some great Microbrews but this is top flight and well worth a visit!! If I lived in the area I would be a regular for sure. Way to go BPB!!!

Good bar food and the best beer brewed on Long Island. Crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. Go Sunday with the family.
