This family knows how to run a business!! They hire kids who need to make a few bucks over the summer. The teens know what is expected and will be let go if they screw off. Good bosses don't have to tolerate the "smart mouths". The place is always clean, food is consistently tasty and a good value. I will take any family member there when they visit from out of town. Mother's day is lovely - as is a great evening with an outdoor concert. Way to go guys!
We discovered the Corral a few years ago and we are so happy we did! The restaurant has every thing you could want for dinner from burgers and pizza to fish fry on Friday to BBQ. Wednesdays is the Pasta buffet in the Fiesta room and its our favorite night to go out. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable. We are a family of 6 so going out to eat can get expensive. At the Corral we get our moneys worth. We go to the Drive-In almost every week during the summer. It is much cheaper than going to the theater and the kids love playing on the playground and enjoying the outdoors. Everything is very clean and the owner is very involved making sure everyone's experience is a good one. The ice cream parlor is wonderful with a huge selection of flavors and novelties.Overall its a wonderful place to go and it won't break the bank. We look forward to many more years of family fun at the Corral!
Fun for all! Great night for everyone and if you wish to stay, the Drive In is a bonus! Walk down Memory Lane for seasoned people and the young people will enjoy the novelty!
We were camping at Letchworth State Park & decided to check out the drive in.It is only 3 miles away & out in the middle of nowhere! There is so much to do here. They have mini golf,a pizza place and a restaurant that has activities every night. The movie is about 8 pp for a double feature. The concession stand was priced reasonably. Much cheaper then a regular theater. They also had a good variety of food. The bathrooms were spotless! There are two theaters. They have really old speakers so it sounds much better it you listen on your radio. You can also sit on the lawn in the front of the theater. The only complaint I had was that is is very easy to get lost on the way back to Letchworth. Not fun late at night!A sign or two would have been helpful.Overall we had a great time here & would recommend it to others!
Our family has been visiting Charcoal Corral and Drive In for 18 years. It just gets better every year! Clean, impeccably kept! Delicious quality food! Wholesome atmosphere. Owner Rick converses each night with customers, frequently gives shout outs to "out of towners". Reasonable prices. It is a must see.
We visited Mid-May on our motorcycles with a group of about 12. The food was very good & the counter help very pleasant. We did not stay for mini-golf nor ice cream but I've done that before. It's a very nice place for any afternoon
The Corral is a great place for family, couples, kids, anyone who is hungry or has a desire to play miniature golf, watch a drive in movie, play games, or just visit with family or friends this is the place to go!
My family and I make the 30-mile drive to Perry a few times a summer to go to Charcoal Corral. It may not sound like much - miniature golf, fast food, video games - but it's a fun place to visit on a nice day. The golf course is one of the better ones around, nicely decorated and well maintained, with some challenging shots. The snack bar is decent, and there's a good selection of ice cream. All the facilities are attractive. I haven't seen a movie at the drive-in, but it could make for a full afternoon and evening of retro family fun.
A must go to place. Great food, mini golf, drive-in, and entertainment during summer. On Thursday nights in the summer enjoy cruise night.
There is also miniature golf! The Charcoal grill has an extensive menu. We love to go there for lunch-great sandwiches. There is also a pizza shop where you watch them make and bake your pie. The best part is the old fashioned ice cream shop. There are events there every week in the warm weather. We are lucky to still have a drive in movie (with 2 screens!)
Lunch? Dinner? Mini golf? Drive-In movie? Ice cream? Burgers? Pizza? This place has it all. It's really a "destination" because people come from miles around to eat, play mini-golf and go to the drive-in movies. It's closed in the winter, but when it re-opens in the late spring it goes into action with FIRST RUN movies (not stale movies that have been on for months); and you get TWO movies not one. There are two screens, so you can have blockbuster adult movies going on one screen and blockbuster kid movies on the other. Each evening the corral hosts "events" - antique car shows, line dancing, barbecue nights, etc. And the mini golf is packed. At midnight they rest...and start again the next day. Oh. And the food is GOOD (and the menu pretty far-reaching). Pizza is served from from on in-house pizza parlor separate from the main grill, and ice cream is served from a separate ice-cream parlor. Its worth stopping by for lunch, dinner, golf or a movie. Better yet - all of the above!
They have something for everyone. This began as a snack bar for a drive in movie theater and has become a restaurant beside a double screen drive in movie theater (silver lake twin drive in). They have wonderful broasted chicken. They have roast beef on weck, a really good fish fry on Fridays, great sandwiches and salads, and all the sides. I'm told they have excellent pizza. The ice cream area has wonderful Perry's ice cream. They have a website if you want to see what movies are playing and what other events are going on. It's always packed. I was there several times in August 2013.
This is a local place on route 39, just south of Perry,NY. It is a swinging place in the summer with miniature golf, outdoor movies, and numerous food options. There is a great pizza counter, and fabulous Perry ice cream. Try their Wed. Pasta nights and Fri. fish fry. Can't beat the food and value
Stumbled upon Charcoal Corral when visiting Letchworth State Park. Took in a game of mini golf and had a sundae afterwards. Great fun, great prices. A nice end to a perfect day at the park. PS the food here is of the fast food variety but it smelled great!!! Friendly staff also.
