Was fun to watch a game with the kids. Admission was cheap, however the kosher food stand was run poorly, and a bit pricey but I guess overall not to bad for a baseball game
Bad politics and suspicious funding, do not take away from this fabulous venue. Local sports facility, AAA baseball, concerts and more all find their way here. What a nice place for a summer evening.
Have been here several times for baseball games and concerts. It's a nice venue... good parking (getting there can be an issue at times due to local traffic but usually moves well enough). Concerts are good and sound is fine.... the only thing I don't like is when the "floor" seats aren't sold out as the band is on a stage in the middle of the field and a big empty space exists between them and the stadium seating. The venue is small enough hat there really aren't bad seats. Food and refreshments are fine and have a decent variety.Private parties can be held in some areas during games or the arena can be rented for such when available.Games can be an issue. It's fun to go and watch the team play... and the mascot is fun to take pics with. I have to warn you though that the balls that fould back into the browd can be VERY dangerous. It happened to us and if we had been looking the other way someone could have been killed (no joke)... as it was at least one person was clipped on the side of the face / head and hurt. We were happy it wasn't the five year old near us that got hit. While nets exist for balls that foul tip directly behind the plate, there are no nets for balls that foul tip to the sides and these come back with astonishing speed and leave you literally a split second to react... so you have to be looking. I recommend sitting behind the nets or in the outfield (a hit by a fly ball might sting but won't kill you if you get hit in the head). Don't know why they don't put more nets up... guess they thing the generic warning on the back of the tickets absolves them...... it does not.
This is a great park to catch a ball game with the Rockland Boulders in the Can-Am Association of Baseball, an independent baseball league. Almost all of the seats are field level (there is a row of elevated luxury boxes behind home plate), so there really isn't a bad seat in the house. You can usually get infield seats for not too much on any given day, especially when the Boulders run one of their many promotions. That said, if you're coming here with the kids, don't expect to stay in your seats for very long. They'll want to play in the Boulderberg playground and ride the B-Train around the concourse (both are free with admission). You might also snag a picture with the team mascot, Boulder Bird, or perhaps the hot dog, donut, or bagel character from the Rockland Bakery race. Pre-game, there is a batting cage on the right field side of the concourse which is used by the players. You might catch them going in and out and ask (politely) for a picture or an autograph. During the game the batting cages become open to the public. Along with the standard concessions, there are kiosks for kosher hot dogs, Dippin' Dots ice cream, Italian Ice, and a soft serve ice cream truck. Additionally, there is a craft beer lounge on the third base side and the Bridge Bar in left field, which often has live bands after the game. Fireworks are launched post-game on Thursday nights (I think Saturday too), and kids can run the bases after Sunday games. It really is a fun and affordable time for all.
Provident Bank Ballpark is the home to the Rockland Boulders, an Independent Baseball Team. So far every game we have been to has been a great experience. They have some great promotion nights, especially cheapskate night. You catch a game here by yourself, with your friends or the family without breaking the bank. You can catch great deals during the season on some of the online sites that give deals at a cheap price The only downfall, is the location which the best way to arrive is by car. Not to familiar with the area, so I can't tell you about public transportation, if there is any close by.
