The prime rib was perfect along with all the other choices from salads, condiments, veggies, and desserts. Our waitress checked on us and removed dishes, etc., just right. We thought the meal was a great value.
I live in Montreal, 15 minutes from the Montreal Casino yet I prefer to drive 80 miles to the Akwesasne Casino for a multitude of reasons!- Excellent restaurant food quality for the price especialy senior’s night - One single floor …no stairs, elevators, no labyrinths to find things- Nice friendly peole to serve you - Slots tue or not seem to pay more - Easy available parking 100% of the time versus underground maza in Montreal- I can check out my summer cottage one the way to the Casino- Freebies ( slot$$$, bithday free buffet, points I can use at the buffet restaurant - Free hotel nights offered periodically- NO taxes on restaurant prices versus 15% in Montreal- Cheap alchool beverages…no taxes - Cheap gas to fill up versus $5 gal in Canada
We go down twice a month from Ottawa and always have a great time. The machines are fun and have been known to be generous. The staff especially the hostesses , are friendly and accommodating. We always look forward to our trips there. Only negative is the background music has a tendency to be too loud.
Clean! Cleaner than most of the Vegas casino's I've been in. Alot of smoke with the non-smoking section sandwiched between the smoking sections.
I have time only to look around the big Casino as I was in the hotel.Very interesting the Casino and the restairants inside.
Smoking & non-smoking sections. Free coffee & soda. Several restaurants. Easy parking including valet (free for guests of hotel).
I always come here when I am visiting the in-laws and it never disappoints. Plenty of slot games to choose from and there are smoking and non-smoking areas which is nice. Table games are where I am most of the time and I have never had any problems with them.
very nice people only wish they would have a better NON smoking area cannot tolerate smoke not enough non smoking areas. Love the machines and the upbeat staff
Stopped by for a couple of hours gaming on a late Saturday morning/early afternoon. The players club lines were minimal and floor service was well staffed and attentive. The buffet line looked longer than I would have expected based on the time ~130 pm. We opted for the snack bar where food was reasonably priced and tasty.Unless you live near here this casino is fairly remote. The plus side is limited crowds and reasonable table minimums. Most were $5 except blackjack @$10. The tables had plenty of open seats. For a small casino I was pleased with the variety of slot machines and table games. They do a great job of keeping the inventory fresh.
Staff handled a simple situation poorly. Celebrating a birthday and treated with disrespect. We have visited a few times and probably will not return. Did or need this type of treatment. Food is ok sometimes but would not rush back for ok food!
My spouse and I thought we'd do some early Xmas shopping stateside and saw that the resort was offering a room deal: $148.00 a night + free buffet dinner. We stayed 2 nights (Tues. and Wed...there is more going on there on the Friday Saturday with shows, etc..). The room was clean (only problem was the bedstand light wasn't working...we told the front desk and it was fixed by the time we returned to our room). Loved the bed. Very comfy. Nice room - even has a small fridge. Shower was well equipped (rain shower heads and a waterpik) As for the food, the buffet wasn't 5-Star but pretty good (depending on what you selected). First night my chicken was dry and bland, the next night it was juicy and delicious. My wife had the roast beef the first night and said it was bland and fatty, so she had the pork tenderloin the next night and it was great. Guess it depends on who's preparing what dish on a given night. Casino was fun. Lots of slots and plenty of smoke -free areas. We tend to play the slots only, and after 2 nights of play we were actually ahead a couple of hundred $$. They have a Spa there and my wife checked out the price list and said the prices are very reasonable. We chatted with some other guests who used the spa for a massage and they gave it high praise. Next time we plan on checking the spa out. Anyway, all in all we had a satisfying stay and plan to return in the future.
We visited the Casino in August for two birthdays. We are returning this weekend and in Nov with the 60+ Club. After visiting this Casino, we prefer this one more than the Montreal Casino. This one is all on one level. Easy to get around and to find each other. Ha! Ha! Yes, we do loose ourselves. It is a big place. Our main reason for going now is their buffet. It goes for $19.99 for an All you can eat. The price is amazing. They have a wide variety of food. From seafood, to Crab legs. Shrimp, Fish. Then Beef, Pork, Ham. Asian, food. Different kinds of salads. and entrees. Their Desserts are made on the premises. A good variety of food. If it is your birthday, you get a free Buffet. How cool is that! Even if you do not play the slots or generally attend a Casino. Do not let it stop you from eating there, Most Casino's we have visited they always serve good food. Often a lot cheaper than at a Restaurant. From Montreal and the West Island. It may take about 1 1/2 + depending on traffic at the Border Crossing. don't forget your Passports. It is less complicated to go to, seeing ther is not all that construction or detours to deal with.
comfortable large room...area is beautiful, right on the border of canada. went to the beach. Not too many good places to eat in the area though.
LIke in 2000 and 2003 when travelling with bus group, never heard somebody gainning much at the slot machines and never saw slot machines ay big amount..
We make 10 to 12 trips a year here from central Vt I hate hearing people wine about not winning, we have as good or better luck than Conn or Atlantic city, overall we at least break even or we wouldn't be able to come and sometimes take home a nice bonus. You have to play to win,if you think your going to drop a 20 and get rich, well maybe but not likely. The people are friendly, the rooms are nice and food is good and its a place to go and relax and forget about your stressfull life, what more can you ask for. Conn is ok for a yearly getaway, I think Atlantic city is going down the tubes, Oxford a nice change, same with Saratoga but for an overall pleasant weekend with everything the rest have to offer, we prefer Akwasasne.
