carnwath farms historic site & park

We went back to Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park for their annual Family Fun Day, and it was worth it! My family and I had an absolutely great time watching karate and fencing demonstrations, talking with local sports teams and organizations, touring the Sports Museum, and the best part was the free food! We hiked around the park and saw some of the greatest views of the Hudson Valley we had ever seen (Catskills, Walkway over the Hudson, West point and more!)Had a great time as usual Carnwath never disappoints!

Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park is a must see! This family friendly park is home to great Hudson views, an 1850 estate mansion, Sports Museum of Dutchess County and several other buildings as well. The park's historic society, Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park Restoration Group were present and gave us a history of this hidden gem. A Must See

My family visited Carnwath Farms Historic Site and Park back in September to visit the Sports Museum of Dutchess County, which is in the Frances Reese Cultural Center, and had a wonderful tour and learned a lot. We picked up several booklets on the area including the Carnwath Short History. We learned of all of the owners and changes to the mansion and grounds. Also the Wappinger Greenway Trails showed us some of the best views of the Hudson River and the rest of the valley. They are currently seeking volunteers to help restore the mansion, which I would definitely be interested in doing! A must see!
