We had an amazing time seeing the West Point team play ball. Seats are inexpensive ($9 for adults and $7 for kids) and the place is beautiful. We looked at the grounds, loved the game and ate for a fraction of the price at larger sports complexes. this is a great family outing. Arrive early because seating is first come first serve, so early arrival could mean courtside seats. Also, every adult must have a photo ID and the cars will be searched as this is a military base.
The Holleder Center serves as the home of West Point's hockey and basketball programs. It is also home to the Army Ticket Office. One unique aspect of the Holleder Center is that it has common areas that service both the ice (Tate) rink and basketball (Christi) arena, rest rooms, concession stands, and gift shops. Concessions are usually run by cadets from another sport. It's always exciting when Army faces one of it's academy rivals, either Navy in basketball or Air Force in hockey. Assigned seats in the hockey rink, some have backs others don't. General admission in the basketball arena. Arrive early as many seats tend to be reserved. Parking is easily accessable and free. Take the time to look at the plaques and trophy cases inside that are devoted to the history of Army athletics.
