We went to their valentines dinner & show. Let me start with the parking. Due to all the snow we couldn't find a place to park. So we had to park in front of one of the other businesses there (good thing it was night)The food was average, nothing to brag about, but no complaints either. I did order a "special" dessert not what I expected but "ok".As for the show, there was a Neil Diamond impersonator, not my bag of tea, actually found him boring until the end. I wouldn't see him again. But I would like to try it again with a different showCan't beat Broadway, but not a bad second
We've been to this dinner theater many times and this was our second New Year's Eve gala. Well worth the price. We saw South Pacific and it was fantastic!! Every seat has a great view. The acting is as good as you'd see on Broadway. The food is quite delicious.
We have been to the Weatchester Broadway Theatre many times and have always enjoyed it. Today we saw a nice production of South Pacific. It's not Broadway, but very good. We are at a stage where schlepping into NYC is not as appealing - especially in the winter months so the shorter, easier trip to Elmsford works very nicely. WBT is worth the price of admission, especially because it includes lunch or dinner. The food we had was very good - portion size perfect. Service very good. The place is run like a fine-tuned machine. They've been doing this for a long time and they've got it right. My only complaint is that the seats are not that comfortable - especially because you're sitting for quite a while. We've only been to the theatre for matinees so I can't comment on whether or not there are any differences between lunch and dinner.
Imagine a Broadway show with a full dinner included. And, believe it or not, you have easy-access, free parking. Where is this dream? It truly exists in Elmsford, New York. The Westchester Broadway Theater is a sumptuous facility that boasts professional Equity actors in classical and current shows as well as specialty nights with comedians and dancers.Recently, our extended family came together to celebrate several milestones. To make the evening extra special, we rented a Luxury Box. This arrangement gave us our own room with a private mini balcony from which we viewed Rogers and Hammerstein’s “South Pacific.” The Box came with many extras. To begin, we had a designated waitress who served platters of hot and cold appetizers. We had an expanded dinner menu with additional entre choices. At a reasonable up charge we also ordered champagne, a celebration cake, and party balloons. The luxury, personal and gracious service, and extra touches made it a very special occasion. We highly recommend the Westchester Broadway Theater and its Luxury Box option. Our family has already asked us to make this an annual event – and we will!
saw mary poppins with my mom and daughter. we had such a wonderful time. the show was great, we had great seats, looks like there are really no bad seats. the food was ok but we go for the show. they start on time and the service is run well. definitely would go again, especially since it is so much closer than going to NYC.
We have been going to the Westchester Dinner Theater for years and the shows are always good and the food is very good. If you're looking for a nice night out for dinner and a show I would highly recommend coming hear.
We went to see It Happened Once Christmas Eve last night. The show was ok...not great but not bad. They played a lot of standard Christmas songs along with some original Christmas music. The story was average. Not a bad night out to enjoy some Christmas spirit. The food on the other hand is on the poor side. The "chicken marsala" was this almost boiled like chicken with some brown sauce poured on top. Not good at all. We ordered appetizers because we had "dining bucks" but they are toally overpriced at $7.25 ea for below average food. The mozzarella and tomatoes were served with unriped tomatoes. Had to be returned. I would skip the appetizers all together and don't order any "fancy" desserts either, just stick with what comes with the meal. It's not worth the xtra money. The acting/singing was decent. The seating in the theater is good. We sat in front row which some may think is good thing. I don't...I would prefer to sit farther back so I can see the whole stage.
We go here for special ocassions. Food good. Staff pleasant. The best shows are the ones the Ballroom dancers do. Location convenient - who the heck wants to go into the City anymore...
While traveling for business. My fiancé and I needed to find entertainment in the area of a Hotel we were reviewing for an upcoming convention. We found the West Chester Dinner theatre and I a very glad we did For diner and a show the cost was roughly $80.00. So we made reservations for dinner and the show. It reminds me some what f Medieval times dinner theatre but so much better. The quality of the food was excellent, the show was defiantly Broadway worthy { South Pacific}. But what made it the best was the service! I was extremely impressed with the service, from the ticket personnel right down to the table bus boy. Everyone was top notch, attentive, non intrusive and timely. It is a well oiled machine. My Fiancé highly recommend this for a night out and also for special occasions. They have private boxes that can seat 15 to maybe 20 people or so. Bravo Westchester theatre When in the area I will definitely make this a stop every time.
Recently saw South Pacific. Then just saw Close To You - a Carpenters tribute. Both were outstanding. The food is very good especially given the fact that they are preparing so many meals. Enjoyable evening of dining and entertainment that can't be beat for the money.
This is a double review and both were surprisingly good. The first review reflects the actors' performances.. Each time we attended a performance here we were quite impressed by the professionalism and talent of the actors .Although a Broadway show might be a bit larger and more extravagant the acting on Broadway is generally on par with the performances at this dinner theater. In addition, (Secondly) the meals were exceptionally good this time. I ordered prime rib "RARE". a very decent sized portion was served and cooked as requested. This individual meal was easily competitive with one served at a good quality Westchester restaurant. In spite of the quick service and large numbers of meals served here in a short period of time, it was extremely good. Do not think that you would be served cafeteria quality food here. You will be pleasantly surprised.
I've been here several times, and the food served at the lunch and dinner shows is consistently good, but not exceptional. Given the large number of meals they serve, the quality is good and you food generally arrives warm. If you like places that deliver massive quantities of food and you take it home for a second or third meal, this is not one of those places. The meals are "normal" size portions, and that's fine with me. The shows always are presented by talented performers, so it is unlikely that you'll see a really bad show. I've seen some shows that I thought were excellent, and a few that were just okay, but that reflects my personal tastes. The productions, even for shows that I don't like as well, have been quite good. The WBT won't substitute for a true Broadway experience, but it is very good entertainment, accompanied by a good meal, and overall a very good time for anyone who enjoys theater.
We had tickets for the show only (no dinner) but was served water and coffees anyway, which was sweet of the staff! The show, South Pacific, was amazing! So much talent on one stage made the trip from Manhattan more than worth it! Will definitely make the trip again!
Dinner theater worth the trip. Always a good production and a nice dinner, pleasant atmosphere and a fun time.
I went to see this show knowing that I would probably enjoy it, but I was completely blown away by how much I did enjoy it. The effects were incredible, the acting was superb, and the voices were great too. Definitely one of the best productions at the WBT. I would highly recommend it.
