This attraction has good intention but definitely needs to be updated. It is on the expensive end for what it is. Pictures are hard to take as the lighting is very poor throughout. It is a fast attraction, but I would set aside at least an hour or two if you want to read postings on the wall. This attraction should be seen at least once while going to Cooperstown but I wouldn't feel the need to go back to this attraction.
Went to Cooperstown for a week long baseball tournament. Had a great time at the breweries and tournament grounds
A great idea but past it's prime. Does hold some interest with it's numerous life size baseball greats, but entrance fee is too pricey.
Some great wax figures, reasonably priced. About an hour or less to walk through. The video was very loud, but a nice little theatre to watch old highlights.
This is a very nice attraction. The wax figures are well done and many a great baseball story is told during your visit.
It was a fun place to spend an hour. The wax figures were neat to see. The Bloopers video was fun to watch. It is an old 3 story building. Call ahead if you go during the off season because they close early. There were lots of cool shirts to buy in the store and they have the Bloopers dvd for sale too.
Although the museum was interesting, it was kind of disappointing, too. It's on Main Street and within an old building. Some of the wax figures had no resemblance to who they were supposed to be, but others were very good. It was fun, but not what I expected.
Hey wasn't a bad place to visit. It was fun but more fun when the elevator is working. Worth a stop if you like wax museums and want to see some old time players
Had a few cool looking statues. Spent most of the time watching the bloopers movie. Costs about twice what I would have thought it should be. Cool T-shirts though.
This was a great stop for something fun for our daughter who isn't quite as into baseball history as her Dad. She had a great time looking at the figures and loved the scene from A League of Their Own. It was an affordable and fun addition to our Cooperstown trip. She also loved shopping at the gift shop, lots of fun and unique items!
Some other attractions in town were not yet open so we went to the Wax Museum as a part of our Cooperstown stay. There were a number of statues and there was a nice mix of old and new. Whether it was worth the $10 admission is debatable. I agree with another reviewer that the some of the videos and audios could be quieter. It took us about an hour to go through.
Great to see wax statues, would have liked to see more of them. Some good reading on old baseball stories . Blooper video was ok too. Wished it was bigger.
Unless you are a total baseball junkie, this is an interesting place to visit....once. I can only see so many old worn out ball gloves, shoes, balls, and uniforms before they all start looking the same. It was very interesting and we enjoyed the experience but won't be back any time soon. The prices were reasonable and the building is clean, bright, and well laid out.
Stories and some figures were good but others did not look realistic. We have been to other wax museums and thought this lacked a little of the pizzaz. Did enjoy seeing some of the blooper movie but buy a copy for home. It'll be cheaper than the museum.
I was very surprise that it was a lot better than I thought, and pricing was very reasonable. we joked that it would maybe have 7 wax statues but there were more than, the only issue was they were playing a video that was extremely loud
