If you enjoy hiking this is the place to check out. Been here in the middle of summer. We always pack a lunch and have a picnic a long the way. Enjoy all the beauties this trail has to offer. We go off track n explore ourselves. If you stay on path it's a good work out but not to intense. If you have to choose a season, go in the fall. The colors will take your breath away♡ make sure you bring some snacks n water and what ever garbage you bring in PLEASE bring out with you.

If you came to see the Falls you must enjoy all the other scenic places nearby particularly along the Gorge. This trail is very near to falls and very few people are on it. That is surprising as it an easy trail and it has amazing and changing scenery. It ends near the Whirlpool deep in the gorge with thundering rapids almost as loud as the falls themselves.

Nothing can beat being up close and personal! We saw the falls at night from the Canadian side then took the Maid of the Mist from New York. My phone video delivered some unbelievable memories that help me relive every moment. You can never duplicate the sensory experience that being there delivers. I encourage everyone to get there and see for yourself.

I have been down in the Niagara Gorge many times in my life. We usually go down at Whirlpool State Park then come back up at Devil's Hole State Park then walk back to the car at the top of the gorge. There is much to see: closeups of the rapids, flora and fauna, rock formations, man made "left behinds". If you go here please remember that it can be a dangerous place. Stay on the trails and never go alone.

First time stopping at the Gorge. Spectacular scenery and close to the hotel . Whole area is beautiful

If you are going to take the tour, they give you a poncho. At the end of the tour there are recycling bins to put your used poncho in, however as you finish the tour you can walk over to the horseshoe falls and you WILL get wet. So hold on to that poncho !

Walking the trail is one of the best ways to see the falls during day or night. The view of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls is more impressive because you can get much closer, but I enjoy the full length of the trail. During this trip, I walked with coworkers in the early evening and found the trail to be well lit and maintained. However, there were not very many people around and we felt a little bit unsafe walking together as a group of young females. I would recommend sticking to the path if you decide to do the falls at night. It is definitely worth it to see the fall is lit up with colored light!

There is a paved path that will lead you around the park and along the American side of the Niagara. The best trails are down some stairs...there are a lot of them. When you reach the bottom the water of the river is the most amazing green. Enjoy!

Niagara Gorge Trail is an absolutely gorgeous place to visit and explore in the Autumn when all the trees are changing colors! The views of the gorge and Niagara River are breathtaking! Better wear your best footwear because the trail and steep stone steps in places is a bit rough and without proper footwear your safety may be compromised. For those who cannot travel up and down steep steps or go over uneven ground, the trail starts at the top and is fairly level along the first part for a small piece, but then gets a little more challenging, and the stone steps that go down to the gorge and river itself are quite steep and one has to be in decent shape to get down and then back up them! Absolutely worth it if you can manage physically!

This hike has the option of shorter out and back hikes. or longer circuitous routes. You can get right up to the water and will avoid any crowds here. The nicest routes have a 200 step descent to the river's edge, but the hikes themselves are not dangerous

For who ever love nature Energy this attraction is a real must do!! You walk and walk all you see green and water until you get to the end of the trail and the water rolling over those rocks What a view!! And a great energy you feel coming out or the water!! The air you breath is different from the rest of the world. Allow time to walk slowly I you are with elderly parents I really enjoyed this attraction. And not too far are the butterflies museum!!

this is NOT for the family with very young children, unless they are used to a hike. The maps and trails are not marked very well, but it's hard to get lost. Make sure to take lunch and water. We hiked all the way down to the river's edge and stuck our feet in the water and watched the jet boats go by. Overall this is a fun FREE adventure.

It was a really nice stroll at the end of the day, I walked it with music playing in my ears and at one of the view points just zoned out from reality and truly relaxed enjoying the view for about half an hour, really beautiful trail.

The trail shares great views and scenery, I've been on this trail both in the summer (today) and in the Fall. It is much more BEAUTIFUL in the Fall. Come dressed and prepared for the hike.
