This is one of the most beautiful and historic areas of Brooklyn. We enjoyed our day walking around here.
The view of Manhattan skyline is worth making the trip to Brooklyn Heights. There are also lots of beautiful historic neighborhoods, charming places to eat and drink and shop.
I have taken numeorus UK visitors through the streets of the Heights and they were all impressed how fascinating and beautiful the architecture is. It's a lovely stroll when the linden trees are in bloom and well worth a visit to understand Brooklyn's growth. Still unspoilt.
In appearance, similar to Georgetown, DC but more international. And SAHADI'S deli foods are second to NONE. You get hungry by just walking into the store on Atlantic Avenue and breathing in the aroma! Tell the Owner, George Kevorkian's grandson sent you!!
A place where your head is going to twist all the times, as there are so many beautiful buildings, bar reliefs, little decorations and details. Coziest place in New York, I'd love to live on one of those streets
Walk over the Brooklyn Bridge and wander around this charming brownstone neighborhood. See the best views of lower Manhattan and the bridge--day and night.
Love Brooklyn Heights , an upscale are with many restaurants. It is safe but as in all other areas of the city beware of your surroundings. Check out the promenade.
Yesterday, with nothing to do, I walk & photographed the Brooklyn Heights Historical District. The old wooden houses, the carriage houses, the row houses and lack of heavy automobile traffic make the Heights a fun place to explore. Bring your camera!
The neighborhood offers something for everyone. Very relaxed dining experiences to higher end. Great culture, very clean and a nice, relaxing walk back to Manhattan.
If you work there it's great to walk every day that weather permits. Lots of shopping, restaurants and brownstones to look at.
This neighborhood has some beautiful, original architecture. There are several churches and some unique styles of architecture.
There is a reason Brooklyn Heights was the first thing the Landmarks Commission thought to designate a historic landmark in the 1960s. It is beautiful. It's like stepping back in time. It was the first suburb in the United States and still boasts early 19th century clapboard houses mixed with high Victorian homes. The neighborhood is tree-lined, well-maintained and gorgeous. It also boasts the promenade, with spectacular panoramic views of the skyline and easy access to Brooklyn Bridge Park, along the waterfront. It is worth a visit for foreign travelers and locals alike.
This is a great neighbourhood to stroll around. We were there at Christmas when the brownstone houses were decked out with Christmas decorations, trees were wrapped In sparkling white lights and the whole area looked really festive. There are many interesting shops and local restaurants - including good veggie options - and a short stroll takes you down to the Brooklyn Promenade with it's striking views across to Downtown Manhattan. Definitely worth a visit if you're in NYC.

Hhe Brooklyn Heights Promenade offers one of the most romantic spots in New York City near the Brooklyn Bridge
