Such a great winery with all sorts of different wines. From dry to sweet to dessert! Its a cute set up and in a perfect part of town. The employee helping us was so knowledgeable about each wine we tasted even the ones we didn't. I wanted to keep going back!

We each had a choice of 6 samples of wine from a large selection of whites and reds. The manager explained the various types of wines with a little history. She was very pleasant and eager to please. The wines were reasonably priced and everyone found one to their liking. Would go back. Located in the heart of the Main Street shopping area. The wine glasses that came with the experience appeared to be a good quality.

Came in to this place to check out and taste the wine however the staff seemed disinterested in waiting on us and when we asked her a question she seemed to have no knowledge about the various wines. Stay away.

Goose watch is a great winery. Great wines, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Have fun and do the wine tasting. You won't be sorry

Won't go Back bc the pourer was dirty and tasted musty and was confirmed with the "manager" ew. Gross.

We walked here from our hotel after visiting the Swedish Hill tasting room earlier in the day. This shop is smaller but also had some nice wine reasonably priced. Friendly staff.

We went to the location outside of town first and learned that there is another place in town. If you pay for tasting at one ($10 but includes the wine glass) you can sample at the other for only $4. Overall the wines were good for NY and the staff at both places was knowledgeable and friendly.

I have visited the Finger Lakes winerys and LOVE all those I tried. I am happy that Lake Placid has Swedish Hills and Goose Watch tasting rooms so I can bring my friends for a tasting experience. I only purchase wine from the Finger Lakes. Great trip, beautiful country, awesome winery choices. I always tell my friends this would be a perfect vacation for them. I only wish I lived closer than 7 hours away But I will visit again!

My husband and I stopped in for a quick tasting on Saint Patties Day, it was nice. The woman helping us was very friendly. We didn't feel rushed or pressured to buy anything. This is just a very nice informal tasting of some delicious wines! We will return when we come back to town!

We stopped in to Goose Watch Winery in Lake Placid the day after Thanksgiving while strolling through town, and we're glad we did! For $5 we tasted 6 wines, guided by Erica, the friendly and fun wine steward. I love to give bottles of wine as gifts, so we stocked up on delicious NY wines from the Finger Lakes. If you're walking around Lake Placid, shopping, eating, and relaxing, this is a fun place to visit.

While we respect that individual tastes and preferences vary, we would like to point out that the Finger Lakes is now considered a major player in cool climate wine production and is highly respected internationally. Reviews in essentially all of the major wine press and national and international wine competitions confirm this. Yes, we do grow the grapes and produce the wines in the Finger Lakes, as the Adirondack climate and soils are not conducive to premium quality wine production. Hopefully you got a chance to try some of our highly acclaimed dry vinifera varietals, such as our 5 gold (3 of which were in California) medal winning 2011 Viognier or our 6 gold (4 of which were in California) medal winning 2011 Riesling Gewurztraminer, or our 2011 Cabernet Franc (Dry) Rose, which achieved a “Best Buy” rating in Wine Enthusiast Magazine. As for the sample size, we pour ½ oz measured samples of each wine, which is commonly used in wine tasting rooms throughout the country. This amount allows our visitors to be able to fully taste and experience each wine, without consuming a large amount of alcohol since when you purchase a tasting you have the opportunity to taste six different wines of your choice.
