I was there when they were setting up for an outdoor concert, as well as going through construction for an outdoor ice rink. I believe they've completed most of that part of the construction, so I can't wait to go back! Canalside was beautiful and the sub is sitting there in all it's historic wonder. Really spectacular to see it.

We were there in the fall. We did a lot of walking and then we stopped a lot to look at the boats going by. The weather was perfect and there were plenty of places to get food or drink. There were places that you could rent water equipment etc. Buffalo needs to continue expanding this kind of venue. Have not been here during the winter however. But I think they have a nice ice skating rink.

We visited Canalside and did ice biking. It was nice to see all the locals out and having fun even in the winter. There was also curling, skating, and a few booths. It's in the first year of operation so will eventually have more attractions as well
