Stayed at the Holiday Inn and we could hear loud engines roaring so we went to check it out. Small track but lots of parking and the races were very quick to get going-very little times between which was great!

I hope things will improve after the new civic center has been finished. the stands are old , in need of repair, and paint

Nostaglia, if you like harness racing put this on your stops, a lot of historic events including amateur driving since the 1890's. Part of Hollywood slots, a must on a harness racing fans bucket list

Most people see these races in casinos. But i think this is only fun on a night with perfect weather. Harness racing is pretty boring.

Enjoyed harness racing for the first time and enjoyed meeting horse owners. A great night of fun for not very much money.

Bangor Fair also held here in summer. Otherwise nothing special.

We attended the harness racing at Bangor Raceway on a Tuesday afternoon, and found it to be a fun way to spend the afternoon. Harness racing is not available in the part of the country where we live, so it was neat to watch and learn about the sport, and the fact that there was no charge to enter on the day we attended was an added bonus. The Raceway is well maintained, has typical shaded grand stand seating (e.g., wooden benches with backs), betting windows are easy to visit, clean restrooms and the time between races well managed. The day we attended there were 10 races in a 2 hour period. Although the snack bar was quite limited and the popcorn was well . . . probably the worse popcorn I've ever bought! Although we did not bring in our own food, several in the stands around us had brought in their own food . . . so I don't know if it's officially allowed. We had a lot of fun picking the horses and watching the races!
