This 41-acre (16.6 ha) former farm was on ME 26 (Gray Road) near the Presumpscot River. It had about one mile (1.6 km) of looped walking trails. A footbridge crossed railroad tracks to get to the site. Trails passed by an old farmhouse, a shed, a garden grown wild, old apple trees, a rusting truck frame, and other signs of the land’s former uses. On a riverside trail, another wooden bridge crossed a brook. Trails were marked but not named, and often rough and grown in, but still easily spotted. Poison ivy near the river was as thick as the many ticks we picked up by walking everywhere else. Use bug dope and bring water. Our parking was at the West Falmouth Crossing Shopping Center. Restrooms were in the Center’s grocery store. We'd have enjoyed our visit more were it not for the annoying ticks and rampant poison ivy.
