Excellent guided tour to Mt. Washington Weather Observatory with EMS Climbing School in North Conway. Guides were very professional and friendly.

The Kank highway is so beautiful! Especially the gorge!!! The fall follage was at peak the first couple of days of October!!! We hit the time just right for leaf peeping!!!!

Took a couple of six miles hikes over our two days. One-easy; the other-moderate. As a couple of 50-somethings, our advice to to make sure that you have plenty of water and good equipment; including a camera, GOOD hiking shoes/socks, and a walking stick. Start early in the day to avoid the crowds and noise-makers. Booking a massage for after the hike is a capital idea as well!

We went up in car, I like driving in challenging conditions and this was one of them although it was not really that challenging as much as plenty of reviewers have said. Still, I understand that going up by car for people who are used to driving on well organized highways with clear road marks will be very stressful.What added to our trip up was the fog. In parts of the way we were not able to see more than 3m ahead of the car and thus we really needed to be extra careful.Some attractions have been managed on the top but not really that interesting. Anyway, you don't go up to see them only.It seems to me that those who really freak out from being in a car going up a mountain in a narrow two-direction road with no protection bars on the sides of whatever sort should not take this road. There is always the train to take, more expensive and would absolutely make a different experience.They speak about the beauty in winter, but I can only praise the magnificent view in autumn. Very colorful in a dramatic way.

The White Mountains is a beautiful area. We drove the Kancamagus Highway. We topped at the information center and were pointed to certain sights. Sabbaday Falls was beautiful.

Gorgeous vistas, well-marked scenic overlooks and pull-offs, (mostly) clean restrooms, well-kept walking/hiking paths. Forest, mountains, lakes, rocky rivers and waterfalls, cliffs and overlooks - great for hiking, sightseeing and other outdoor activities.

Lots to see and do if you leave your car, though the notches are all an experience to drive through. Occasionally you may also see moose from your car. Trails to ponds, waterfalls, and upwards range from easy beginner to expert. Some worthwhile tourist attractions just outside forest, also.

You can enjoy a senic ride or get out and take a hike. Go for a swim in a refreshing stream. Catch a fish. There are so many beautiful spots. I go several times during the season as I live just across the border in Maine. Fall is beautiful with all the changing leaves. I have not had my fill of it yet...I don't think I ever will!

The white mountains are so beautiful and serene, you have to visit it. Especially during fall. The colors are wonderful, the place has so many opportunities for camping and hiking, its a must.

If you are in east coast and have not been to Mt. Washington in the White Mountains, it is high time you did.. The place is so beautiful. We went during the falls for leaf peeping.. but the place offered us more than just colors.. The drive to Mt. Washington is one helluva experience.. The sceneries are breathtaking and surreal...If given a chance, i'd definitely go here again.. and again.. and again!!

The Whites have a reputation for changing weather. Respect this area, and do lots of fun research to prepare for a safe and challenging hike.

We would have loved to stay and look, hike and bike around but just did not have the time. Gorgeous scenery!

Many great activities possible year round. From hiking, biking, climbing and general sight seeing.

I may be biased as a New Hampshire native, but the White Mountain National Forest is absolutely beautiful! My advise: visit in the off-season...Mud and Dead Tree (between when the trees are bare and the snow falls). It's not so crowded, and the wildlife viewing is excellent!
