Myself and five other family members went on a 2 hour cruise. Captain Gary was so knowledgeable about the pond, the individuals that live there and lived there in years passed. He had pictures to show of buildings that were on the pond in the 1800's and early 1900's. The ride was so relaxing and peaceful; we all so enjoyed every minute. The kids enjoyed driving the boat and becoming Junior Associate Captains. The ride was smooth and comfortable. If you want to enjoy beautiful scenery, outstanding, informative and an overall pleasant Captain, take a Snow Pond Cruise, I guarantee you will totally enjoy it. Captain Gary and his wife were the most pleasant guides I have met and they just made you feel at home. We just had a wonderful time and look forward to returning next year and hopefully doing a longer cruise. I just didn't want it to end. Absolutely loved it......
My wife and I and several friends were one of the first groups to enjoy Captain Gary's tour of Messalonskee Lake, also known as Snow Pond. Want to know why Snow Pond? You'll need to take the cruise! So much to see, a beautiful natural body of water and wildlife. Comfortable and safe for all ages. Bring your binoculars and enjoy!
Our friends and we were picked up at our camp dock on Messalonskee Lake by Captain Gary Bennett, the owner of a fine pontoon boat, which tours this lake. We elected the 3 hour trip, which was most delightful. Capn Gary had such a wealth of information about this lake - it's history, the owners of many of the camps and businesses along the lake, including our favorite: New England Music Camp. He narrated the cruise with humor and grace. He showed us loons, the marsh at the end of the lake, describing its features and introducing us to its plants and bird life. He was a very well informed licensed Maine guide. We had a great time!
