Nicely laid out Par 3 course that is a ton of fun for families, couples , or friends. Lot's of care put into the quality of course. Play a round and then go get a great lobster roll or chowder across the street at Shain's of Maine.
Great place to go to practice short game and fun with son who is just learning. Pleasant staff was very helpful.
Want a quick game of golf but don't want to play with the "snobs" at the higher priced country club courses but still want a little change. We did so we checked out Pine Hollow. Very cute par 3 course. Well maintained and because I'm a horrible golfer challenging enough to make everyone else look good. Very clean facility. Family run - great pricing (look for the days when they have their $5. sign out - very sweet price). You see lots of kids with grand parents here which is very nice. People are friendly and the pace is not hurry up so Johnny Golf Pro can play through. If you haven't played golf before or are like me not that great or even if you lack time - check this place out - it's less expensive than mini golf with a much better and quieter setting.
We have been going to Pine Hollow for many years. Playing the par 3 course has been an annual family outing. Always have so much fun. We just love it.
What a fantastic little course! Don't let it's size fool you. It's not just mini=golf. It's a challenging little course to perfect your short game. Grab your 8 iron and your putter and have fun! Cheap and great for the whole family. Bob, the 92 year young owner is always there, quick to offer a friendly golf tip or go out to shoot a round with his friends. If you have time to chat, ask to see the pictures of this cool little place when he 1st developed it. His son Mark is equally nice and helpful with a tip. Don't miss it and reward yourself afterwards with an ice cream at the famous Shain's of Maine across the street!
This business should be promoted more: for all those tourists along Route 1, this is a really good attraction: very well-maintained grounds, shady, nice staff, interesting approaches, some challenges. My two teenage sons and I had a great game. Other players were very nice. A memorable visit.
This small par-3 course was so much fun! We visited several times over the course of our recent vacation in southern Maine, and will definitely be back next time we visit. There are 18 holes which range from 30 yards to 80 yards - the holes meander back and forth in a logical and easy-to-follow way, and there are benches at nearly every tee, making it great for those who need to take a quick break before heading to the next hole. The set up of the course makes it very friendly to people of all ages, and there are pine trees throughout the course which provide lots of shade - perfect for when you need to get out of the sun in the middle of a hot summer day! You can bring your own clubs if you want to, but they do rent them (putters and some irons, which is all you need for this type of course) for $1, and have balls available as well. Adults pay $8 for a round, which is an absolutely fantastic deal!Overall, this small course is a lot of fun! Its located in Sanford, which is very close to many other towns in that part of Maine (its a really quick ~13 mile drive north-west on rt. 109 from Wells). Right across the street from Pine Hollow is a delicious ice cream stand (the ice cream is home-made), which provides the perfect finish to a really fun time in Sanford!
