We had a wonderful time mushing our own dog sled for half a day with the support and direction of Mark and Ashley and their beautiful dogs. You get to meet the dogs first and hear all about sledding and racing which is fascinating. Mark loves to answer questions so don't hold back. He is a Maine wilderness expert. Ashely has been raising and training, mushing and competing with her dogs for many years and so you couldn't be in safer hands as you take off through the snow. Each one of the dogs in your team of 10 is unique and beautiful. I loved every minute and so will you. Best to book directly through the guide service as opposed to through your hotel. It's less expensive. We will be calling Mark for a moose watching trip in the summer.

Mark and Ashley Patterson are a husband and wife team who offer as part of their business a chance to ride with their beautiful Alaskan huskies.
