Cool to check out and adds to the cool environment at Old Orchard but there isn't much to do on the pier and the restaurant we ate at on the very end was disappointing.

Always a good time. Live music, Lots of events. Not a fan of Hulligans but love the Pier Bar great food and great drinks!

Like a travel back in time. Cotton candy, sea food and beer. Little boutiques selling nic nacs and trinkets. Fun to look through.

I could write a book on the history of the Pier at Old Orchard beach. Originally a Ballroom during the days of Benny Goodman ,Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller it is a market place with Restaurants and a Pub. Pizza was Good. Rustic yes but worth a look..The Old Orchard Beach Historic museum is great for a complete History lesson..

Great small town tradition! Enjoyed chatting with many many locals. Perfect New Year's Eve celebration staying toasty warm on the beach!

It was "ghost town" when we were there, which made it all the better. You could really take in the views without being in the hustle and bustle of tourists.

Its heydey ended decades ago. Sadly, the views have been ruined by overbuilding cheesy shops on both sides. The end has become a bar, which often charges a cover. Better to stick to the beach and Palace Playland area.

great food, shop, people. fill of fun to see the beauty of the beach and area. Easy to get around the town.

A visit to Old Orchard has to include the pier. Its not long, but a great photo op and a rich tradition. Don't forget to get a Coke and a hot dog for .99. And they have bathrooms (I think you have to pay). Love this place.

Fun place but over the decades really run down. In serious need of cosmetic face lift. Eyesore of peeling paints, broken wood structures.

Showing a little age but it has been around for a while and the tides definitely make it why I want to come back! I love being to walk out and take pictures of OOB from the pier. Restaurants mostly closed after Columbus Day one shop still open one the weekend while we were visiting

I've been vacationing in OOB since 1967 and have always loved the pier. But, over the last decade or so the pier just isn't the pier. There use to be food vendors. jewelry vendors, art vendors and all sorts of eclectic things on the pier. The pier now consists of a couple bars and dance club. Not that I'm opposed to a frosty beverage, but that's not the proper place for a club or bar; OOB used to be known as a family place, but lately it's lapsed into tattoos, body piercing and alcohol.

We were there a week after labour day and apparantly people who vacation afterwards aren't worth the trouble, so most everything was closed. It still is a nice place to walk on though, but it could use some serious updating.

Was a nice walk, a lot of the stores where closed for the seasons the only things that where open where the bars. And they looked busy.

Years ago I would take my kids here and we would walk along the pier and look at the shops, stop for pizza , visit the aquarium at the end of the pier , Now you walk on the pier first thing you see is a bar and a bouncer right there at the entrance to the pier, you walk down it there are a few shops selling t shirts and the normal trinkets, but then you find body piercing stores ,and there is only one little area you can look out at the ocean , and a big bar at the end of the pier with a bouncer standing there, and a bunch of rowdy drunken girls hitting on a bunch of rowdy drunken men . Yep really what children on vacation should see. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL WITH WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE PIER OR OLD ORCHARD IN GENERAL.. ACTUALLY PRETTY DISGUSTED. SEEMS THEY WANT TO CATER TO THE DRUNKS INSTEAD OF FAMILIES
