3 generations of my family went on this boat ride together. It was a beautiful day and we had a good time enjoying the scenery and hearing about the history of the water and the area.Although very interesting, if I had known that it was all listening I would probably have gone with just one other person rather than having a group of people including children too young to listen. I would not recommend for young children or large groups, but I do recommend it.

Went with a group of kids during summer program through a grant provided by the organization. Boat operators were knowledgeable and friendly with kids & staff. Practiced safety first and advised free tix available last Sunday of month, first come first serve.

In October of 2013 my family and I went on a lovely Fall cruise on the Blackstone River in R.I. This is an undiscovered treasure that we just stumbled across, The once polluted river has recovered beautifully as the brochure states. The boat called "Explorer" starts its tour of the river from a small dock in Central Falls Landing in R.I. The boat holds about 20 people and the cost is $10.oo for adults. There is a cheaper price for seniors. The boat trip is about 45 minutes long. We went in October and the foliage was just beautiful. It is a calm river and the guide is so knowledgeable with the area and all of the rich history of the region. The shoreline may produce sightings of hawks, turtles, ducks, geese,herons, and swans. We saw a beaver on our cruise. This is a must do trip.
