rocky point state park

We went on a hike organized by the Department of Environmental Management on New Year's Day. This was the site of the former Rocky Point Amusement Park which has since closed. Within the last few months, the State and City of Warwick have demolished buildings and former attractions. Now, there is grass and trails for everyone's enjoyment. They did an excellent job. They did leave some momentos of former rides. The views are spectacular and more improvements are to come for this waterfront property. Currently, there are no bathroom facilities. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed.
